  • Publication number: 20040107584
Abstract: Fanned air generated by a fan to cool a motor is discharged from a housing through fanned air discharge ports toward an opening formed in a base. The fanned air discharged toward the opening is then introduced into a groove in fluid communication with the opening. The groove is formed in a bottom surface of the base and has an open side at a front side of the base. The fanned air is then discharged from the front side of the base, blowing off saw dust on a cutting object so as to prevent dust from accumulating on a marking line on the cutting object.

  • Patent number: 6371426
Abstract: A wire holder 1 is provided with a wire support member 10 and a cap member 20, and a wire 5 is inserted in a wire grasping part 14 of the wire support member 10 and is held. The wire grasping part 14 has a spiral part 142 where a linear member 140 in two lines is wound in coil shape, and an acting part 16 integrally connected to the spiral part 142 is rotated thereby the spiral part 142 is reduced in the diameter and the wire 5 is grasped. The acting part 16 is engaged with the cap member 20, and the cap member 20 is constituted to be rotated about the axial center thereby the acting part 16 is rotated. Further the spiral part 142, in the diameter reduced state, engages the diameter reduction position holding part 18 and the cap member 20 thereby the grasped wire 5 can be held.

  • Patent number: 6271817
Abstract: The present invention relates to a method of driving an active-matrix type of liquid crystal display device that has a plurality of row electrodes to which a scanning signal is applied, a plurality of column electrodes to which a data signal is applied, and a plurality of picture elements (pixels) formed at a plurality of intersections between these row and column electrodes, each of these pixels comprising a liquid crystal layer and a two-terminal element having non-linear resistance characteristics connected in series therewith by means of applying a voltage of a difference signal between a scanning signal and a data signal to the pixels. A compensatory voltage is applied to each pixel immediately before a data write period during which the liquid crystal layer of the pixel is charged with a data charge voltage corresponding to a display gradation.

  • Patent number: 6218721
Abstract: A semiconductor device includes a fuse constituted by a lower interconnection, an upper metal interconnection, and a plug. The lower interconnection is formed on a semiconductor substrate. The upper metal interconnection is formed on the lower interconnection through interlevel insulating film to have an overlap region that overlaps at least part of the lower interconnection. The plug is formed in the overlap region to electrically connect the upper metal interconnection and the lower interconnection to each other. A method of manufacturing a semiconductor device is also disclosed.

  • Patent number: 6076414
Abstract: A shift range control system for an automatic transmission, comprising: a first range switching mechanism for selecting a shift range mechanically; and a second range switching mechanism for outputting an electric signal, while a predetermined shift range is being selected by the first range switching mechanism, to switch the shift range electrically. Further comprised is a return switch mechanism for releasing the shift range, which is lower by two or more steps than the predetermined shift range selected by the first range switching mechanism, to switch the same to the predetermined shift range. Thus, it is possible to improve the conveniences for switching the shift range of the automatic transmission by the electric operation.

  • Patent number: 5597752
Abstract: In a method for manufacturing an LDD type semiconductor device, an insulating layer is formed on a semiconductor substrate of a first conductivity type, and an opening is formed in the insulating layer. Then, a first sidewall insulating layer is formed on a sidewall of the insulating layer, and a gate insulating layer is formed on the semiconductor substrate. Then, a gate electrode is buried in the opening. Then, the first sidewall insulating layer is removed, and impurities of a second conductivity type are introduced into the semiconductor substrate to form a low concentration impurity region in the semiconductor substrate. Then, the insulating layer is removed, and a second sidewall insulating layer is formed on a sidewall of the gate electrode. Finally, impurities of the second conductivity type are introduced into the semiconductor substrate to form a high concentration impurity region in the semiconductor substrate.

  • Patent number: 5062963
Abstract: An improved method and apparatus for removing sludge from a spray booth tank using a single pump for withdrawing liquid including sludge from the tank. A portion of the liquid from the pump is returned to the tank through eductors for agitating liquid in the tank. At least a portion of the liquid from the pump flows through a hydrocyclone separator. Sludge from the separator is collected in a settling tank. A small portion of the clarified liquid from the separator flows through an aspirator pump to the booth tank and the remainder of the clarified liquid is returned directly to the booth tank. The aspirator pump returns excess liquid from the settling tank to the booth tank.
