    Abstract: In a markup language document conversion system, the conversion server 150 acquires a PC markup language (ML) document from a PC web server 130 and subjects the document to rendering so as to check arrangement coordinates of respective display elements to be drawn on a display screen of a predetermined size. According to the check result, the PC ML document is converted to a mobile ML document 30 in which the display elements are rearranged in accordance with a specification of a mobile terminal. An edit terminal 170 accepts an edit operation for the ML document 30 and uploads edit procedure information being an edit result, to the conversion server 150. Thereafter, in response to a request of the PC ML document from the mobile terminal, the conversion server 150 allows the edit procedure application unit 190 to apply the edit procedure information to the ML document 30 and generates a mobile ML document 32.
