  • Patent number: 6999169
Abstract: The present invention is intended to realize a spectrometer which improves the wavelength resolution without being affected by the pitch of the photodiode array. The present invention is characterized by a spectrometer which comprises a wavelength dispersion device spectrally dividing the measured light beam and a photodiode array composed of a plurality of photodiodes that detect the spectrally divided light beams by the wavelength dispersion device and output photocurrents, and performs measurement using the outputs of the photodiode array; providing a deflecting means that deflects the measured light beams and changes the position where the measured light beams are detected by the above photodiode array, and measuring the characteristics of the measured light beam from the measured results for different deflection amounts.

  • Patent number: 6885447
Abstract: The present invention relates to a spectrometer whereby the accuracy of wavelength measurement can be improved without being affected by the environment of use. The present invention is characterized by improvements made to a spectrometer for spectrally dividing the light under measurement by transmitting the components thereof at different, wavelength-by-wavelength angles, and receiving and detecting the light under measurement thus spectrally divided by the chromatic dispersion device using an optical detector. The apparatus according to the present invention comprises a refractive index compensation means for compensating changes in the angle at which the chromatic dispersion device transmits the light under measurement, according to changes in the refractive index of the medium in which the chromatic dispersion device is placed.

  • Patent number: 6355702
Abstract: Compounds containing unsaturated aliphatic moieties which are linked to each other by a tertiary oxycarbonyl containing acyclic moiety are basis for compositions which are cured to polymer networks which are thermally decomposable to provide residue which can be dissolved to allow repair of inoperative assemblies by replacement of inoperative components or recovery or recycling of operative elements which are affixed in assemblies by the cured compositions.

  • Patent number: 6026343
Abstract: An anti-skid control system for an automotive vehicle, comprises a plurality of actuators each associated with one of front-left, front-right, rear-left and rear-right road wheels, for adjusting braking forces applied to the road wheels, sensors for detecting wheel speeds of the road wheels to generate wheel-speed indicative signals, and a controller for controlling the actuators in response to the wheel-speed indicative signals. The controller controls a hydraulic actuator associated with a controlled outer rear road wheel through a so-called select-LOW process between a wheel-speed indicative signal value of the controlled rear outer road wheel and a wheel-speed indicative signal value of a diagonal front wheel located on the vehicle diagonally to the controlled outer rear wheel only when the controller determines that the vehicle is in a cornering state with a high lateral acceleration during a braking-force control for the controlled outer rear wheel.

  • Patent number: 5816783
Abstract: An electrically driven hermetic compressor comprises a hermetic casing, an electric motor unit encased in the casing, and a compression mechanism encased by the casing and drivingly connected to the electric motor unit through a crankshaft. The compression mechanism includes a cylinder, a piston reciprocatingly slidable in the cylinder, a valve plate having formed therein a suction port and a discharge port and providing valve seats around the ports, suction valve and a discharge valve cooperating with the suction and discharge ports. The cylinder, the piston and the valve plate cooperate to define a compression chamber. The compressor further has a passage system providing separate passages for a gas to be compressed and the gas after compression, and a motion converting mechanism for converting rotary motion of the crankshaft into linear reciprocating motion of the piston.

  • Patent number: 5799261
Abstract: An anti-skid control system for an automotive vehicle, comprises a plurality of actuators each associated with one of front-left, front-right, rear-left and rear-right road wheels, for adjusting braking forces applied to the road wheels independently of each other, sensors for detecting wheel speeds of the road wheels to generate wheel-speed indicative signals, and a controller for controlling the actuators in response to the wheel-speed indicative signals. The controller selects a lower value of the wheel-speed indicative signal values of a controlled rear wheel, subjected to a braking-force control, and its diagonal front wheel located on the vehicle diagonally to the controlled rear wheel, and controls the actuator associated with the controlled rear wheel in accordance with the lower value, during braking-force control for the controlled rear wheel.
