    Abstract: To provide a connector that enhances the reliability of connection between the ground and a shield constituting a shell. A socket constitutes the connector together with a header which is mounted on a different printed wiring board. The socket includes a socket body which is provided with a connection recess, a plurality of socket contacts which are held by the socket body, and a pitch direction shield and a terminal direction shield constituting the shell which surround the connection recess and which prevents electromagnetic noise from coming in and out. The pitch direction shield and the terminal direction shield are provided with terminals soldered to conductive pattern of the ground.

When the feeding operation of grinding wheels (1,2) is completed, the distances from hydrostatic pads (20, 21) to the surface and back of work (W) are measured at three points, and the deformation amount of work (W) is detected from the results of measurement at the three points by using air gauge sensors (Sa, Sb, Sc), and in case the calculated amount of deformation exceeds the specified value, the moving adjustment of grinding wheels (1, 2) is performed in accordance with the amount of deformation so that work (W) is flat without deformation when the feeding operation of grinding wheels (1, 2) is completed.

    Abstract: A connector used electrically for connecting two circuit boards comprises a plurality of sets of contacts held on a body. Each contact has a terminal portion to be soldered on the circuit board, a held portion to be fitted into the body, and a contacting portion to be elastically contacted with a contacting portion of a contact of the counterpart connector when the connectors are coupled with each other. A part of the contact, which generates elastic pressure by warping when the connectors are coupled, is hammered out in a manner so that a thickness of the part is made thinner than other portions for generating work hardening. Elastic pressure acting between the contacts of the connectors coupled with each other is increased by the work hardening, so that reliability of connection can be maintained owing to the increase of the elastic pressure even when a stacking height of the connectors is made lower.

    Abstract: A compact receptacle for mating connection with a complementary coaxial plug connector. The receptacle is in use to be mounted on a mobile phone for switching a signal line from an internal antenna to a vehicle's external antenna when placed on a cradle in a vehicle in mating connection with the plug connector on the cradle. The receptacle has a dielectric mold carrying an outer conductor shield fitted on top of the mold, a single spring member, and a single fixed contact member. The conductor shield includes an electrode socket for connection with an outer conductor tube of the plug. The spring member integrally carries a center electrode for connection with a center conductor post of the plug, and a movable contact which forms a normally-closed switch with a fixed contact on the fixed contact member for the above signal switching.
