The cylindrical member is supplied with an ink which contains an inorganic filler having a comparatively large particle size. The ink is added with a titanate coupling agent or an aluminate coupling agent. The cylindrical member has the concave printing plate formed on its peripheral surface and is supported rotatably. The ink on the concave printing plate is transferred to the cylindrical pad. The cylindrical pad is supported rotatably. The cylindrical pad is brought in contact with the concave printing plate and the surface of the conveyed cassette accommodating the recording medium or the conveyed cassette accommodating case.

Abstract: A recording medium containing cartridge comprises a first casing shell having a recess formed proximate a side wall thereof and a second casing shell matingly fitting with the first casing shell. The second casing shell has a projection formed at a location corresponding to the recess formed in the first casing shell. A dimension of a distal surface of the projection contacting a bottom of the recess is made less than a corresponding dimension of the bottom of the recess. This leaves a gap that safely accommodates a burr formed during a welding process that joins the casing shells together. First and second reels are rotatably mounted between the first and second casing shells and tape is wound therebetween.

Abstract: A write area (10) is formed as a writable area on a recording medium accommodating cassette by a printing process using a printing ink containing a proper amount of protein powder made of natural collagen as a main component. In the write area (10), owing to hydrophilic group of the protein powder, even when something is written therein with a water base pen, its ink can be prevented from being floated therefrom and hence the writing can be carried out satisfactorily.
