  • Publication number: 20080179048
Abstract: A louver fin (11) has a corrugated shape by alternately forming bent portions (15) and flat portions (17) in a strip thin sheet (13). In the louver fin (11), a plurality of louvers (19, 21) cut and bent out of the flat portions (17) along the longitudinal direction Y of the strip thin sheet (13) are arranged parallel to each other along the width direction X of the strip thin sheet (13). • Patent number: 7246438
Abstract: A method for producing a heat exchanger. A louvered fin is provided, where the louvered fin has a first bridge member for attaching a first corrugated strip and a straightening member of the louvered fin together. A first corrugated strip is fixed between first and second adjacent tubes of the heat exchanger such that the first corrugated strip is kept in a straight shape by the first and second tubes. The straightening member is detached from the first corrugated strip by breaking the first bridge member such that there is provided a first sandwiched structure having the first corrugated strip fixed between the first and second tubes.

  • Patent number: 7032487
Abstract: A corrugated fin cutting device includes a pair of worms that restrains a position of a bottom portion of a corrugated fin material that is being continuously conveyed in a conveying direction, and a guide piece that approaches the bottom portion of the fin material that is being restrained by the pair of worms to determine a position of this bottom portion and moves in the conveying direction in synchronization with the fin material. Further, the corrugated fin cutting device includes cutting blades that move with the guide piece in the conveying direction and cut the bottom portion of the fin material that is positioned by the guide piece. The bottom portion of the fin material is cut when the guide piece passes the worms.

  • Patent number: 6988541
Abstract: An oil cooler is held by holding plates. Top portions of side pieces of each holding plate are disposed through a side wall of a tank and are bent at the outer surface of the tank, so that circular interposed members and the oil cooler are retained by being sandwiched between middle supporter pieces of the holding plates and the side wall of the tank in the stacking direction of element units such that the oil cooler is movable in the longitudinal direction with respect to the side wall of the tank. By inserting connecting pipes of the oil cooler through openings of the tank so as to temporarily assemble the connecting pipes into openings of a tube plate, blocking flanges of the connecting pipes are retained while being in contact with the outer surface of the side wall of the tank.

  • Patent number: 6968891
Abstract: A virtual quadrangle having vertexes respectively configured by: inner ends which are located respectively at a corner of inner cut end faces of the louvers formed in flat portions that are opposed to each other across the bent portion; and outer ends which are located respectively at a corner of outer cut end faces of the louvers, is assumed. A distortion adjusting portion is disposed in the bent portion of the louver fin. The distortion adjusting portion equalizes distortion generated in the direction of an inner diagonal line connecting the inner ends of the virtual quadrangle, with that generated in the direction of an outer diagonal line connecting the outer ends of the virtual quadrangle. Thereby, the louver fin can be prevented from being curved in the longitudinal direction.

  • Patent number: 6968254
Abstract: A feedback controlled tension applying system includes a corrugated fin processing device that processes a fin material in continuous sheet form while applying a tension to the fin material. A tension applying device applies the tension to the fin material. An encoder measures a moving amount of the fin material, and a control device that feedback-controls the tension applying device based on a measurement result of the encoder so that the moving length amount per predetermined time of the material becomes a set value that is set in advance.

  • Patent number: 6564607
Abstract: A slitting device including first and second cutting rollers disposed parallel to each other, a first guide roller axially adjacent to the first cutting roller, and a second guide roller axially adjacent to the second cutting roller. The cutting rollers have axially adjacent cutting edges at which a sheet material is cut into two strips, and recessed portions on the outer circumferential surfaces. The guide rollers have cutout portions circumferentially extending and axially opposed to each other on the outer circumferential surfaces, and projections defined by the cutout portions and opposed to the recessed portions of the cutting rollers.
