  • Publication number: 20070274543
Abstract: [Problems]To provide a multifunction-type vibration actuator and a mobile terminal device capable of decreasing the lowest acoustic resonance frequency and preventing breakage of a coil lead as well as improving acoustic characteristics and preventing sound leaks. [Means for Solving Problems] A portion near the outer periphery of a diaphragm 3 is bent to form a rising portion 3b extending along an inner periphery 1a of a housing 1 toward an open end thereof. This rising portion 3b serves as a corrugation to decrease the lowest resonance frequency and the amplitude of vibration of which a fulcrum is served by the rising portion 3b is not so large as that of the corrugation. Accordingly, the coil lead of a voice coil 4 is not easily broken. Furthermore, an extending portion 3c is formed to extend outward along a flat surface 1b formed at the open end of a housing 1 from a rising portion 3b. This enlarges the entire radius of the diaphragm 3 and improves the acoustic characteristics.

  • Publication number: 20070140509
Abstract: To enable the mounting of a multifunctional vibrating actuator on the surface of a circuit board by solder reflow without exposing the components with poor heat resistance-the diaphragm, magnet, and voice coil-to the high temperatures of the reflow tank. The structure for mounting a multifunctional vibrating actuator on a circuit board is constituted such that a bracket is fixed to the surface of the circuit board by solder reflow, and then the housing of the multifunctional vibrating actuator is placed in the bracket so that the terminals of the multifunctional vibrating actuator are electrically connected to the electrodes of the circuit board.

  • Patent number: 7035423
Abstract: This invention deals with a portable terminal that reduces extraneous tones in a portable terminal in which is mounted an electromagnetic induction actuator that produces voice signals, a buzzer signal or a low frequency vibration. By short-circuiting the terminal fittings of the electromagnetic induction actuator or by connecting them electrically to amplifiers or to a signal generator that produces a constant voltage signal or a constant-frequency signal, the extraneous tone produced by vibration of the mechanical vibration system of the actuator is reduced.

  • Patent number: 6285387
Abstract: Replaceable ink ribbon cartridge and thermal head unit are incorporated in a recording device in such a state that they can be attached into and detached from a printing position defined in the recording device through a front opening formed in the front of the recording device. The thermal head unit with a thermal printing head is movable back and forth toward a thermal-transfer ink ribbon contained in the ink ribbon cartridge in a direction perpendicular to a card transfer passage along which a recording medium such as a card is fed to a recording station. The ink ribbon cartridge and thermal head unit mounted in the device can be taken out perpendicularly to the direction in which the thermal head unit moves toward the card transfer passage, so that they can be replaced from the front of the recording device, thus rendering handling of the device easy.

  • Patent number: 6030474
Abstract: In a method for coating the recording surface of an information card by selectively using one of protective films of various types, the selected protective film loaded in a coating device is thermally transferred to the card at the optimal thermal-transfer temperature and optimal feeding speed determined according to the film type of the loaded protective film which is automatically identified. The film type of the protective film is recognized by detecting at least one discrimination mark on a film ribbon for the protective film by use of one or more mark sensors. The discrimination mark also serves as positioning means for the protective film in coating. By thermally transferring the protective film to the card at the optimal thermal-transfer temperature and optimal feeding speed, a high-quality information card coated with flat layers including printing ink layers and protective films and having excellent peel strength can be produced.

  • Patent number: 5853483
Abstract: A substrate supporting device includes support elements for supporting a substrate, and positioning elements for contacting outer peripheries of the substrate to check horizontal movement thereof. A substrate sensor is disposed around the supporting device for detecting the substrate supported thereon. The supporting device is surrounded also by light projectors for horizontally projecting light having projection tracks overlapping, in a plan view, the substrate supported by the substrate supported device and extending at an angle to one another, and light receivers for receiving the projected light. The substrate sensor and light receivers input signals to a microcomputer for determining whether the substrate is correctly supported. A light projector may project a light beam toward the surface of the substrate supporting on the substrate supporting device, and cause the light beam to be reflected by the substrate surface.
