The cylindrical roller bearing (10) has synthetic resin cages (20) each including an annular portion (21) disposed in one axial end portion of the cage (20), and a plurality of columnar portions (25) extending from a side surface of the annular portion (21). The minimum inner diameter d1 of the annular portion (21) is set to be smaller than the maximum inner diameter d2 of each columnar portion (25), and the inner diameter of the columnar portion (25) is set to be equal to the inner diameter d1 of the annular portion (21) over a range of length not longer than ? of the whole length of the columnar portion (25).

    Abstract: A grease supply confirming device confirming the supply of a grease into a bearing, according to the present invention includes a detecting member an elastic supporting member and a movable body. The movable body such as a metal spherical body is movably provided in a piping through which a grease to be supplied flows. The elastic supporting member is provided in the piping for supporting the movable body. The detecting member such as an eddy current type displacement sensor detects to see whether or not the grease is supplied in accordance with the displacement of the movable body. The grease supply confirming device further includes an abnormality judging circuit connected to the detecting member for judging the abnormality in grease supply, and an outputting portion for outputting an alarm according to the instruction from the abnormality judging circuit.

    Abstract: A ball bearing in which the heat value in an inner ring is decreased and the heat value in an outer ring is brought closer to the heat value in the inner ring by making the radius of curvature for the inner ring groove larger, and defining the radius of curvature for the outer ring groove as 50.5% to 53.0% of the ball diameter. The arrangement of the present invention suppresses the heat value in the entire ball bearing and extends the bearing life at a reduced cost without using a large flow rate lubrication method or a preloading method such as constant preloading. In addition, a decrease in heat generation, seizing resistance and wear resistance can be attained further by optimizing a relation between the raceway groove and the ball diameter, by optimizing the number of balls, by controlling the ingredient composition for the material of the bearing ring, and by forming a hard deposition film on the surface of the raceway groove.
