Patent number: 4933517Abstract: An integral housing and body case contain a diaphragm having one side exposed to an external signal pressure and another side exposed to a chamber in the integral housing and body case so that the diaphragm is able to flex in response to a pressure differential between the sides thereof. A rod in the integral housing and body case is movable in response to the flexure of the diaphragm and loosely carries a movable contact which can engage at least one fixed contact in the integral housing and body case. A first spring biases the movable contact toward the at least one fixed contact so that when the rod is moved by a signal pressure, the resulting movement of the movable contact causes the movable contact to engage with the fixed contact and be maintained thereagainst by only the force of the first spring.Type: GrantFiled: March 23, 1989Date of Patent: June 12, 1990Assignee: Aisin Seiki Kabushiki KaishaInventor: Kenji Yogo

Patent number: 4753416Abstract: An article, obtained by injection molding, includes a first member on which an electrical element such as a coil is provided or mounted and a second member, surrounding the first member, formed integrally therewith. A first radially inward projection of the second member is in abutment with a first annular flange of the first member. A second radially inward projection of the second member is fitted in and welded to a vee on the first annular flange. Such weld acts as a seal for water-proofing the electric element. For preventing separation of weld due to repetition of radial expansion of electrical element upon current application thereto, a connecting means is provided between the first radially inward projection and the first annular flange.Type: GrantFiled: February 25, 1987Date of Patent: June 28, 1988Assignee: Aisin Seiki Kabushiki KaishaInventors: Akio Inagaki, Kiyotaka Nakai, Kenji Yogo

Patent number: 4714193Abstract: A selector valve device for controlling the opening and closing of a fluid passageway in response to both the input current signal and the ambient temperature, especially used for a carbureter outer vent controller of vehicle engines. The valve device is equipped with a metal heat transfer member which contacts with both the core member of an electromagnet for supplying the input current signal and a temperature sensing spring for biasing the valve in the direction for opening the valve, thereby to transfer the heat generated by excitation of the electromagnet to the temperature sensing spring so that the difference between the temperature in the carbureter float chamber and the ambient temperature sensed by the spring is reduced.Type: GrantFiled: November 6, 1986Date of Patent: December 22, 1987Assignees: Aisin Seiki Kabushiki Kaisha, Toyota Jidosha Kabushiki KaishaInventor: Kenji Yogo

Patent number: 4703739Abstract: An engine auxiliary starting device installed in an outer vent control system of an automotive internal combustion engine for leading fuel evaporative gases from a float chamber to a canister. The auxiliary device includes an electromagnetic valve having an integrated circuit board which includes a sensor mechanism for detecting a predetermined temperature and a timer circuit for supplying an electric current to a solenoid coil for a predetermined time.Type: GrantFiled: March 28, 1986Date of Patent: November 3, 1987Assignee: Aisin Seiki Kabushiki KaishaInventor: Kenji Yogo

Patent number: 4700682Abstract: A fuel vapor control device having a valve opening and closing a passage connecting a carburetor and a charcoal canister according to a predetermined temperature. A first coil spring formed by a "shape memory effect" alloy is provided to urge the valve to open the passage when the temperature is high. A second coil spring urges the valve to close the passage. A solenoid is provided to urge an armature against the valve to close the passage against the force of the first coil spring when the engine is running. The solenoid heats the first coil spring to generate a spring force therein when the engine is running. When the engine is turned off, the solenoid is deactivated, and the force of the first spring overcomes the force of the second spring to open the passage until such time as the temperature of the first spring drops below the predetermined temperature.Type: GrantFiled: January 17, 1986Date of Patent: October 20, 1987Assignees: Toyota Jidosha Kabushiki Kaisha, Aisin Seiki Kabushiki KaishaInventors: Isamu Ota, Yutaka Nishimura, Shigeru Nishio, Kenji Yogo

Patent number: 4658798Abstract: A turbocharger control system utilized in a carburetor system including a carburetor having an air-fuel induction passage, a fuel supply passage supplying fuel to the air-fuel induction passage, and a turbocharger having a compressor impeller compressing an air-fuel mixture flow delivered to an engine intake manifold. The control system includes an air control valve which is positioned between a surge tank in the intake manifold and an air induction passage connected with the fuel supply passage and which controls an air bleeding amount supplied to the air induction passage in response to changes in pressure of the surge tank.Type: GrantFiled: February 3, 1986Date of Patent: April 21, 1987Assignee: Aisin Seiki Kabushiki KaishaInventors: Kenji Yogo, Isshi Nomura

Patent number: 4608208Abstract: A control valve device for use in a carburetor outer vent control system of an automotive internal combustion engine. The device includes a solenoid coil generating a magnetic force and a spring made of a shape memory alloy so that the device may control fluid communication in a fluid passage in response to an input current signal from a switch device and in response to changes in engine ambient temperature.Type: GrantFiled: August 23, 1985Date of Patent: August 26, 1986Assignee: Aisin Seiki Kabushiki KaishaInventors: Kenji Yogo, Mamoru Nakamura, Shigeru Nishio

Patent number: 4549470Abstract: A pneumatic actuator is provided for a gate valve in a turbocharger system to control the bypass of exhaust gasses to regulate the speed of the turbocharger. The actuator includes a reciprocating rod connected at one end to a diaphragm and adapted to be connected at the other end to a pivoted lever for actuating the valve. A bearing is provided for the reciprocating rod with the bearing being moveably supported by a leaf spring arrangement mounted on the actuator for absorbing vibrations and transverse movement of the reciprocating rod.Type: GrantFiled: June 29, 1984Date of Patent: October 29, 1985Assignee: Aisin Seiki Kabushiki KaishaInventor: Kenji Yogo
