  • Patent number: 9716812
Abstract: A technology that enables accurate position specification on an image displayed on a screen to perform processing and correction of the image data is provided. When the image is printed on a sheet on which a dot pattern is printed, a reference point of the image on the display device is set and the reference point is printed in a visible mark together with the image. This mark is imaged with an imaging means, and calibration is performed in which position coordinates of the marks on the sheet and the reference points of the image are matched, thereby preventing variation in coordinates between designation made on the sheet with the imaging means and processing on the image.

  • Patent number: 9626934
Abstract: The present invention has a technical objective of providing a distinctive display format for machine-readable dot patterns which does not harm the aesthetics of images displayed on a display device. The dot pattern is made machine readable by providing the periphery of dots with a contrast control region and/or an anti-aliasing region which are distinguishable from the surrounding image. Thus enabled is the embedding of the two-dimensional codes which cannot be recognized by audiences yet machine readable on video or images on the screen of a display device. An audience can easily acquire information defined by the dot patterns using a digital camera, a video camera, a portable telephone camera, a web camera, or the like to image the screen of the display device or to capture the screen as data.

Abstract: According to one embodiment, a data recovery circuit includes an XOR operation unit, an erroneous bit position inferring unit, an error factor inferring unit, and an error provisionally determining unit. The XOR operation unit performs a bitwise XOR operation on M data sequences of N bits, where M and N are integers of two or greater. The erroneous bit position inferring unit infers an erroneous bit position based on the XOR operation result. The error factor inferring unit infers the inverted direction of the erroneous bit. The error provisionally determining unit performs bit inversion in the erroneous bit position, the direction of the bit inversion being opposite to the inferred inverted direction.

  • Patent number: 9582701
Abstract: A dot pattern including a block defined as a rectangular area of a square or a rectangle of a medium face, such as printed matter. A straight line in a vertical direction and a horizontal direction configuring a frame of the block each are defined as a standard grid line. Virtual reference grid points are provided at predetermined intervals on the reference grid line. Reference grid point dots are placed on respective virtual reference grid points. Straight lines that connect the virtual reference grid points to each other and are parallel to the reference grid lines are defined as grid lines. A point of intersection of grid lines is defined as a virtual grid point. A dot pattern is generated by arranging one or a plurality of information dots, each of which has a distance and a direction around the virtual grid point.
