  • Patent number: 10531840
Abstract: Image display device includes image outputting unit, part moving unit, and matching degree score calculating unit. Image outputting unit outputs, among a plurality of images obtained by performing a multilayered anatomy in a plurality of parts of a human body, an image of one layer of one part as a current image. Part moving unit acquires a part moving instruction after current image is output. Matching degree score calculating unit calculates a matching degree score indicating the matching degree between the organ included in current image and a candidate image by comparing label information indicating the organ included in current image and label information indicating the organ included in candidate image, with respect to each of a plurality of candidate images of a movement target part. • Patent number: 9667972
Abstract: When compression encoding processing of an image is performed in units of macroblocks using a pipeline structure, an application of a skip mode or the like according to MPEG4AVC to compression encode an encoding target block requires motion vectors and the like of adjacent blocks of the encoding target block. However, depending on a structure of the pipeline stages, the motion vectors may not be determined. In such cases, the skip mode cannot be applied to compression encode the encoding target block. This problem can be solved by (i) calculating all motion information candidates, of the encoding target block, corresponding to all motion information selectable by a previous block of the encoding target block, and (ii) selecting, as the motion information of the encoding target block in the skip mode, the motion information corresponding to the motion information determined for the previous block.

  • Publication number: 20120242803
Abstract: A conventional device adjusts the convergence angle of its imaging unit in a manner that the left-and-right face detection areas are at the same coordinates and thus forms a stereo image that will be placed on a display screen during display, but fails to place a subject at an intended stereoscopic position. A stereo image capturing device (1000) detects a face area from a right image, detects a disparity using the left-and-right face areas, and sets the imaging parameters (the subject distance, focal length, stereo base, and convergence angle) to adjust the detected disparity to a disparity enabling the subject to be placed at an intended placement position. This device forms a stereo image having an appropriate stereoscopic effect in which a target subject is placed at an intended stereoscopic position. The device uses only a limited target area for face detection and thus requires less calculation for face detection.

  • Publication number: 20120236126
Abstract: A conventional stereo image pickup device forms an appropriate stereo image by changing the stereo base in accordance with the distance to a subject, but fails to select an appropriate focal length or stereo base by simply using the subject distance without obtaining the subject size. A stereo image pickup device (1000) estimates the size of a subject in accordance with the imaging mode set in a typical two-dimensional camera, and estimates the subject distance using the estimated size of the subject and the focal length, and further calculates the stereo base that enables an optimum disparity to be achieved using the subject distance, determines the stereo base, and aligns the two imaging units (the first imaging unit (103) and the second imaging unit (104)). As a result, the stereo image pickup device forms a stereo image having an appropriate stereoscopic effect.
