  • Publication number: 20050141965
Abstract: A multi-chamber oil boom includes a first bladder and a second bladder, each having an inflatable interior. A valve includes an air passage that communicates between the interior of the first bladder and the interior of the second bladder. The valve further includes a clamping spring assembly that provides compressive force on the air passage and closes the air passage until partial inflation of the first bladder causes the air passage to open against the compressive force of the clamping spring assembly to open the air passage and allow air to travel from the inflatable interior of the first bladder to the inflatable interior of the second bladder.

  • Patent number: 6055798
Abstract: A cutter blade is pivotally attached to a blade carrier so that it may operate as a flail. The blade carrier itself rotates about a drive shaft spaced from the pivot axis. A pivot pin is received in respective bores of the cutter blade and the blade carrier; a distal, protruding portion of the pivot pin is threaded. A pair of clamping collar halves each have a threaded surface which threadedly engage the threaded portion of the pivot pin shaft. After the correct amount of axial play between the cutter blade and the carrier is adjusted by rotating the collar halves on the shaft threads, the collar halves are clamped together on the pivot shaft using fasteners so as to affix the clamping collar halves to the shaft.

  • Patent number: 4876775
Abstract: A method of converting a warping arrangement having two creel halves and a warper from a setup for long lots of one style to a setup for shorter lots. The method includes converting transfer package positions on each of the creel halves to running package positions and providing a yarn sheet transfer device associated with each creel half to permit the recreeling of each creel half by placing leading ends of newly recreeled yarn packages into yarn guides on the yarn sheet transfer device associated with the creel half while yarns from the other creel half are running to the warper through a yarn sheet transfer device associated with the other creel half.
