  • Patent number: 4896784
Abstract: A wiring housing includes a main portion forming a box and a cover for the box. The main portion has a side wall and a back wall and tubular projections extending from the side and back walls to form conduits sockets to receive the ends of rigid or flexible PVC conduit. The cover has latches and the box has latch sockets to form a three-point snap connection between the components. Openings into the box from the tubular projections form stop shoulders to limit the insertion depth of the conduit. An open side of the box has outwardly sloping textured wall surfaces and the cover has a U-shaped channel fitting over the surfaces which, in assembly, form a water-excludiing closure assembly. The housing assembly is particularly effective for wire interconnections at the junctions of conduit runs.
