Patent number: 11918792Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a dose detection system for use with a medication delivery device in which a dose setting member rotates relative to an actuator during dose delivery. The dose detection system includes a module which is removably attached to the medication delivery device. The module includes a rotation sensor attached to the actuator during dose delivery. A sensed element is attached to the dose setting member and includes surface features detectable by the rotation sensor. The rotation sensor comprises a following member including a contact portion resting against and spring-biased in the direction of the surface features. The contact surface is positioned to move over the surface features during rotation of the sensed element, and the rotation sensor is responsive to the movement of the contact portion over the surface features to detect the rotation of the dose setting member.Type: GrantFiled: December 13, 2022Date of Patent: March 5, 2024Inventors: Matthew Thomas Antonelli, William Churchill Taliaferro Burke, Roy Howard Byerly, Christopher Robert McCaslin, Ethan Edward Pease, Kenneth Alan Ritsher

Publication number: 20230332753Abstract: A nightlight including a base and an electrical prong secured to the base and adapted to be inserted into an electrical outlet is disclosed. A main circuit is coupled to the electrical prong and contained within the base. A plurality of light sources provide different colors of light in a visible light spectrum and a lens is secured to the base and positioned adjacent to the light sources. A sound transducer produces an electrical signal as a function of ambient sound and the main circuit is coupled to the sound transducer and the light sources for varying the color of light in the visible light spectrum that is produced by the light sources as a function of the ambient sound. The light sources may include light emitting diodes and laser diodes. The lens may include an image or cut-out positioned thereon so that the light sources project a pattern of light as a function of the image or cut-out.Type: ApplicationFiled: April 18, 2023Publication date: October 19, 2023Inventors: Kenneth A. Patent number: 11242976Abstract: A laser nightlight is disclosed. A laser nightlight includes a base, an electrical prong adapted to be inserted into an electrical outlet wherein the electrical prong is secured to and projects from the base; and a power supply circuit coupled to the electrical prong and contained within the base. A laser mounted within the base and coupled to the power supply circuit is adapted to produce a laser beam through an output. A lens is secured to the base and is positioned to cover the output of the laser. The output of the laser is pointed at a spot on the lens, and a portion of the lens at the spot may be opaque, faceted or cloudy, or may comprise a diffuser. A portion of the lens where the output of the laser points may contain an image and a light pattern corresponding to the image may be produced when the laser beam illuminates the image. The lens may be formed from shatterproof glass, clear glass or quartz. The lens may be sealed to the base.Type: GrantFiled: August 28, 2019Date of Patent: February 8, 2022Assignee: Mary Elle Fashions, Inc.Inventors: Kenneth A. Howard, Matthew S. Smith
