  • Publication number: 20240314106
Abstract: A first compute server of a distributed cloud computing network receives traffic that is destined for a private application or service running on a server of a customer external of the distributed cloud computing network. That server is connected with the distributed cloud computing network through a network interconnect. One or more policies that are configured for the customer are used to determine whether the traffic is allowed to access the private application or service. The first compute server transmits the traffic to a second compute server of the distributed cloud computing network that has the network interconnect. The second compute server transmits the traffic to the server over the network interconnect using as its source IP address an IP address that is dedicated to the customer.

  • Publication number: 20240208037
Abstract: Apparatus and associated methods relate to a rapid repositionable construction shelf. In an illustrative example, a repositionable construction shelf may, for example, extend along a longitudinal direction with intersecting opposing protrusions. The opposing protrusions may advantageously be configured such that the opposing protrusions may releasably couple the opposing arms to at least one adjacent vertical construction beam. The opposing protrusions may, for example, be positioned such that a distal protrusion is higher than a proximal protrusion such that the weight of the shelf urges both protrusions to frictionally engage with the vertical construction beam.

  • Publication number: 20210326153
Abstract: Various technologies described herein pertain to enforcing control flow integrity by adding instrumentation when source code is compiled or binary code is rewritten. An indirect call to a control transfer target (e.g., in the source code, in the binary code, etc.) can be identified. Moreover, the instrumentation can be inserted prior to the indirect call. The instrumentation can use a bit from a bitmap maintained by a runtime to verify whether the control transfer target is valid. When an executable image that includes the inserted instrumentation runs, execution can be terminated and/or other appropriate actions can be taken when the control transfer target is determined to be invalid; alternatively, execution can continue when the control transfer target is determined to be valid.

  • Patent number: 10569122
Abstract: An exercise and rehabilitation apparatus for exercising an extremity of a user. The apparatus includes a flywheel having a first side and a second side with a channel in the first side. The channel has a top edge near a planer surface of the first side. A lever, such as a pedal or handle, is adjustable in position and combined with an adjustment member. The adjustment member is movable within the channel between first and second positions. However, the adjustment member cannot be removed from the channel through a slot along the top edge. A locking pin, biased in an extended position, is combined with the adjustment member and is movable between the extended position and a retracted position. • Publication number: 20190137560
Abstract: A block heater test system for testing continuity in a vehicle's block heater. The block heater test system plugs into the power cord of a block heater to test continuity for the purpose of making sure the block heater can be powered. The block heater test system relies on a battery. So, no other power source is needed; but alternate power sources can be used. An indicator light or audible tone indicates a fault in the block heater or indicates correct operation of the heater depending on the design. The small nature of block heater test system and the weather resistant housing allow for easy use during inclement weather.
