Abstract: A fishing lure hook up swivel is provided for coupling a ball-like element provided on one end of the fish line to a fish lure whereby the lure can rotate relative to the line. The swivel is provided with a solid body or receiver shaft having at one end thereof a ball recess and a slot leading into a bore for receiving the ball-like element and the line respectively. A coil spring carried by the body provides a removable closure or cage for retaining the ball-like element and line in the recess and bore respectively to permit the fish lure to rotate relative to the line. The other end of the receiver shaft is provided with an "O" ring to which the lure is securely attached.
