  • Patent number: 4802895
Abstract: A composite diamond abrasive compact is produced from fine diamond particles in the conventional manner except that a thin layer of fine carbide particles is placed between the diamond particles and the cemented carbide support. The provision of the thin layer of carbide particles reduces the incidence of the formation of imperfect sinter areas in the compact.
    Type: Grant

Inventors: Richard P. Burnand, Kenneth A. Mackenzie
  • Patent number: 4440791
Abstract: A cultured egg-milk product is formed by combining whole or skim milk, skim milk powder, sugar and liquid, whole or powdered egg, adding selected bacterial cultures such as LB.sub.1 strain of Lactobacillus bulgaricus and TS.sub.2 strain of Streptococcus thermophilus, and fermenting until a predetermined degree of bacterial growth has been achieved to produce a cultured egg-milk product having desired qualities of texture and taste.

  • Patent number: 4122022
Abstract: An improved method for preparing clay-based grease compositions is described whereby a clay containing pre-grease is prepared and a water phase separated from the clay-bearing pre-grease prior to the addition of an epoxide which is cured, e.g., simultaneously with the dehydration of the pre-grease. The grease compositions prepared in this manner show improved water resistance over those wherein the epoxide is added prior to separation of the water phase and the grease is also more responsive to the addition of conventional grease additives such as extreme pressure additives, anti-corrosion additives and anti-oxidants.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: July 14, 1977
Date of Patent: October 24, 1978
Assignee: Shell Internationale Research Maatschap IIJ B.V.
Inventors: Kenneth A. MacKenzie, Abraham Verhoeff
