  • Publication number: 20150282591
Abstract: A stick product dispensing system is disclosed which prospectively provides an advance or early warning to a user that the product will soon be depleted. In one embodiment, the product dispensing system includes a dispenser (10) having a tubular barrel (20) with an open end (24), a solid stick product (12) disposed in the barrel (20), and a moveable platform (40) disposed in the barrel (20) for supporting and dispensing the product (12) through the open end (24). The platform (40) includes a plurality of spaced apart indicator protrusions (100) extending outwards from the platform (40) forming interstitial spaces holding a reserve amount of product. After repeated uses of the dispenser, the protrusions (100) eventually emerge from the top of the stick product (12) signaling the user that one or a few additional applications remain. This allows the user to purchase another dispenser in advance to avoid running out of product. In one embodiment, the product may be a deodorant/anti-perspirant.

  • Publication number: 20130230444
Abstract: A method of improving the efficiency of a diesel engine provided with a source of diesel fuel includes the steps of: a) adding to the diesel fuel a reverse-micellar composition having an aqueous first disperse phase that includes a free radical initiator and a first continuous phase that includes a first hydrocarbon liquid, a first surfactant, and optionally a co-surfactant, thereby producing a modified diesel fuel, and b) operating the engine, thereby combusting the modified diesel fuel. The efficiency of a diesel engine provided with a source of diesel fuel and a source of lubricating oil can also be improved by modifying the lubricating oil by the addition of a stabilized nanoparticulate composition of cerium dioxide. The efficiency of a diesel engine can also be improved by adding to the diesel fuel a reverse-micellar composition that includes an aqueous disperse phase containing boric acid or a borate salt.

  • Publication number: 20100295338
Abstract: A collapsible tray for use with portable chairs. The tray is mounted to the chair frame by a mounting bracket or clamp. The horizontal support is connected to the vertical support by a pivoting connector, which allows the tray to swing out of the way for easy access. The tray surface itself is made of flexible material and is attached to two tray supports. The two tray supports are connected using two hinged extensions connected to either end of the tray supports. The hinged extensions are connected to the horizontal support by a connector to the support allowing the extensions to pivot and fold. Opening or closing the tray may be accomplished by folding the extensions in or out. The tray can be easily collapsed which allows it to be stored with the chair, or carried in the storage bag with the chair itself.

  • Publication number: 20050273462
Abstract: A system and method for creating virtual “flat” customer records derived from database customer data that may be used as standardized input for analytical models. A Customer Analytic Record (“CAR”) application may be created as a database object to extract, transform, and format all of the customer data needed for customer segmentation and predictive modeling. The CAR may be a set of database “views” that are defined using virtual stored queries and enabled using capabilities of a data base management system and a structured query language. The CAR is preferably a virtual “flat” record of the customer data needed for customer analytics. The customer data may be extracted by running one or more SQL queries against the database view(s). The CAR application may dynamically calculate additional variables using predetermined transformations, including custom transformations of an underlying behavior. If additional variables are created, the CAR may be modified to include the additional variables.
