  • Publication number: 20090077465
Abstract: While a user is viewing in a first display area a portion of an electronic document intended to be printed to produce a printed product, presenting to the user in a second display area a representation of the physical outline of the printed product and an indicator that indicates to the user the size and location of the electronic document portion relative to the printed product. When the user positions a cursor in the second display area, a second indicator image, visually distinctive from the first indicator image, is displayed. The user can position the second indicator at a desired location relative to the representation and request that the portion of the electronic document at that second indicator location be displayed in the first display area.

  • Publication number: 20070269369
Abstract: Disclosed is a process for preparing a pharmacologically active compound, in which at least one internal conjugation site of an Fc domain sequence is selected that is amenable to conjugation of an additional functional moiety by a defined conjugation chemistry through the side chain of an amino acid residue at the conjugation site. An appropriate amino acid residue for conjugation may be present in a native Fc domain at the conjugation site or may be added by insertion (i.e., between amino acids in the native Fc domain) or by replacement (i.e., removing amino acids and substituting different amino acids). In the latter case, the number of amino acids added need not correspond to the number of amino acids removed from the previously existing Fc domain. This technology may be used to produce useful compositions of matter and pharmaceutical compositions containing them.

  • Publication number: 20070071764
Abstract: Disclosed is a composition of matter of the formula (X1)a—(F1)d—(X2)b—(F2)e—(X3)c??(I) and multimers thereof, in which F1 and F2 are half-life extending moieties, and d and e are each independently 0 or 1, provided that at least one of d and e is 1; X1, X2, and X3 are each independently -(L)f-P-(L)g-, and f and g are each independently 0 or 1; P is a toxin peptide of no more than about 80 amino acid residues in length, comprising at least two intrapeptide disulfide bonds; L is an optional linker; and a, b, and c are each independently 0 or 1, provided that at least one of a, b and c is 1. Linkage to the half-life extending moiety or moieties increases the in vivo half-life of the toxin peptide, which otherwise would be quickly degraded. A pharmaceutical composition comprises the composition and a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier. Also disclosed are a DNA encoding the inventive composition of matter, an expression vector comprising the DNA, and a host cell comprising the expression vector.

  • Publication number: 20060184418
Abstract: Computer-implemented systems and method for generating individualized email communications to customers promoting a second customized product that shares design elements with a previously ordered first customized product. Customer records are searched to identify product promotion candidates. A personalized email order solicitation adapted to display an automatically created image of the matching product is sent to identified candidate customers. The matching product image displayed to the email recipient is created to incorporate design elements of a first product ordered by the recipient and information associated with the recipient such that the email recipient sees a customized second product image.

  • Patent number: 6986105
Abstract: A method using two local clipboards in conjunction with the system clipboard to perform cut-and-paste and copy-and-paste operations during the creation and editing of markup language documents. A user editing a document has the option of cutting or copying an entire textbox or selected text from within a textbox. If an entire textbox is copied, two local clipboards are used in combination with the system clipboard to store related information in multiple locations. Upon receipt of a paste command from the user, if a text insertion cursor is present, the text to be pasted is inserted into an existing textbox. If no text insertion cursor is present, a new textbox is created and the text is inserted in the new textbox. The attributes of the text in a newly created textbox depend on how and from what source the text was cut or copied.

  • Publication number: 20050147442
Abstract: Computer-implemented electronic document design systems and methods allowing a user to integrate user-specific location maps into custom printed products. During the creation of an electronic design of a product intended for subsequent printing, user-provided location information is received by a server computer and used to generate a user map suitable for high quality printing. Lower resolution display and thumbnail versions of the map suitable for displaying to the user of the client system are generated. The display version is sent to the client system for review and editing by the user. The user map, the display map, and the thumbnail are stored at the server for possible future use. The maps are created and stored with the same height to width ratio as the map area in the electronic product design into which the map will be placed. The user is provided with a cropping tool to allow the user to select the portion of the map to be incorporated into the electronic product design.

  • Publication number: 20050104897
Abstract: Electronic document design systems and methods allowing a user engaged in customizing an electronic product to re-crop product images in a manner that is compatible with the product layout. Upon selection of an image area in the product design, the user can choose to re-crop the image currently displayed in the image area or to select and crop a different image to be used in the selected image area. A cropping indicator that can be resized and repositioned is provided to the user. The cropping indicator is automatically sized to have and retain the same height to width ratio as the selected image area. Upon completion of any resizing or repositioning operation, the selected image area of the electronic product is updated to reflect the cropping changes made by the user.
