  • Publication number: 20090111139
Abstract: A priori knowledge is obtained from known tumor samples, indicative of cellular pathways associated with those known tumor samples. Multiple pathways are found for each tumor. This becomes a priori knowledge. Later unknown tumor samples are then analyzed against the a priori knowledge to find the pathways etc within the unknown tumor samples. Multiple pathways are collected to form an oncogenic signature. The oncogenic signature is used to find a cocktail of multiple treatments that treats each of the multiple pathways.

  • Publication number: 20060278601
Abstract: A method of making a closure having an end panel and a sealing liner on one face of the end panel includes providing an injection mold having at least first and second mold elements, at least one of which is movable with respect to the other. The first and second mold elements are positioned to form a first mold cavity, and the end panel is injection molded within the first mold cavity. At least one of the first and second mold elements then is moved to form a second mold cavity in which a face of the end panel forms at least one mold cavity wall, and the sealing liner is injection molded onto the face of the end panel. The end panel and liner are then removed from the second mold cavity. The liner/disk subassembly thus is provided more easily and economically than if the liner were compression molded in situ onto the undersurface of a separately formed disk.

  • Publication number: 20060201976
Abstract: A dispensing valve includes an annular ring of relatively rigid molded plastic construction and a flexible resilient valve element integrally molded with the ring. The ring and the valve element have at least one mechanical interlock to secure the valve element to the ring as the valve element is molded onto the ring. In some embodiments of the disclosure, the mechanical interlock includes openings in an inner periphery of the ring and pegs on the outer periphery of the valve element that are molded into the openings as the valve element is molded onto the ring.

  • Publication number: 20050199574
Abstract: A tamper-indicating closure that includes a base wall having a cylindrical skirt for removably engaging a container finish. A tamper band is frangibly connected to the skirt, and a plurality of wings extend inwardly from an inner surface of the tamper band for engagement with a container finish. The wings are resiliently flexibly connected to the inner surface of the band along lines that are disposed at a counterclockwise angle with respect to the axis of the skirt as viewed from inside the skirt.

  • Publication number: 20050098529
Abstract: A plastic closure includes a plastic closure shell having a base wall with a central opening and a skirt with at least one internal thread or bead for securing the closure to a container finish. A plastic disk is retained within the shell parallel to but spaced from the base wall. The disk includes a plurality of axially extending spacer elements around the disk to engage the undersurface of the base wall and space the disk from the base wall of the shell, and angularly spaced fingers extending from the disk through the central opening of the base wall to retain the disk within the shell. A resilient liner is disposed on an underside of the disk for sealing engagement with the container finish.

  • Publication number: 20030208135
Abstract: Methods and systems for performing biopsies and diagnosing tumors and suspect masses within the body. A biopsy sample is frozen while still in the body of a patient, then removed from the patient, stored frozen, and subject to IHC, microarray or other analysis to determine the amount, type or presence of signaling substances within the tumor or suspect mass.

  • Patent number: 4034745
Abstract: The heart beat pulses of an ECG signal are counted by a digital counter. A timing signal loads the count into a register once each 15 seconds and resets the counter to zero. Four intermediate registers hold four successive counts. The output of the four registers is summed and applied through a multiplexer to an eight bit main register. When the equipment is first turned on, the multiplexer is forced into a special state in which it loads the output of the counter into the upper six bits of the eight bit main register thereby providing a main register output that is four times the value in the counter. The main register output is displayed providing a digital heart beat reading in pulses per minute. Once each 15 seconds during the first minute of operation, this main register is updated from the counter to provide a new output reading.
