Abstract: The present invention is related to compounds which inhibit pancreatic cholesterol esterase. Abstract: A pharmaceutical composition for treating cardiac arrhythmias or inhibiting ventricular tachycardias comprises an effective amount of a compound having the structural formula: ##STR1## or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof; wherein at least one R.sup.1 is H and the other R.sup.1 is H, alkyl, halogen, alkoxy or alkylthio;R.sup.2 is alkyl containing at least 2 carbon atoms, benzyl or aryl;R.sup.3 is alkyl or aryl; andR.sup.a and R.sup.b taken together with the carbon and nitrogen atoms to which they are attached represent a heterocyclic group; together with a non-toxic pharmaceutically acceptable carrier.
