Abstract: Economical, easy to install and use, and disposable, air filter for an HVAC system. The filter is quasi-universal with respect to the size of the air intake vent over which it can be deployed, and it requires less frequent replacement of filter material than is common with typical throwaway (box-type) air filters. When replacement of filter material is needed, the replacement can be done with less or no direct handling of or exposure to the dirty filter material. In use, the filter maintains relatively consistent cleanliness of the filter material by automatic, periodic scrolling of the filter material to replenish the filtering surface.
