Patent number: 9370681Abstract: An extremity supporting exercise system is described. The system includes two knee sliders and two hand sliders. Each knee slider includes a knee pad and a knee base. The knee pad includes a recessed portion that is adapted to receive a user's knee. A patella support is disposed within the knee portion to support the user's patella when using the knee slider. Alternatively, each hand slider includes a hand pad and a hand base. The hand pad includes a series of linger indentations that are flanked by thumb receptacles. Importantly, the knee base and hand base are formed of a rigid and slippery material to allow the sliders to easily slide across a ground surface. Thus, through use of the exercise system, a user can support their hands and knees while sliding the hands and knees across a ground surface to perform a variety of exercises.Type: GrantFiled: May 11, 2015Date of Patent: June 21, 2016Assignee: ICORE HEALTHInventor: Kenneth Chang

Patent number: 8429077Abstract: A system and method is provided for an ATM having a display, a logic server coupled to the display, and a memory coupled to the logic server. The logic server dynamically controls the content of screens to be displayed on the display. The memory, which is accessible to the logic server, contains a profile of at least one user. In operation, the ATM detects the swipe of a user's card and requests the profile of the user whose card was swiped from a host. The ATM then receives the user's profile and stores the user's profile in the ATM.Type: GrantFiled: October 7, 2002Date of Patent: April 23, 2013Assignee: JPMorgan Chase Bank, N.A.Inventors: Dmitry Goldman, Walter Gero, John Henderson, Kenneth Chang, Robert Bucko, Frank Kirby, Adrienne Puttagio, Medhat Kamal, Jinlin Ding

Publication number: 20100145352Abstract: A medical device and a method of using such medical device for removing targeted tissue from a body lumen in a patient is presented. The method generally comprises placing the distal end of the device through a natural orifice in the patient to a location that is proximate to the targeted tissue; deploying a T-anchor fastened to a suture strand through the targeted tissue; deploying a loop anchor into the tissue of the body lumen spaced away from the targeted tissue, whereas the suture strand is slidably received by the loop anchor; applying tension to the suture strand; cutting the tissue at a predetermined depth around the periphery of the targeted tissue; and removing the targeted tissue along with the T-anchor from the body lumen. The tension applied to the targeted tissue maintains the targeted tissue in a raised position and/or allows the physician to manipulate the targeted tissue relative to the tissue that is proximate to it.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 4, 2009Publication date: June 10, 2010Inventors: Kenneth Chang, Richard W. Patent number: 5231764Abstract: An improved cutter is provided for a plasterboard sheet, used in conjunction with a conventional T-square having a head and an elongated rule extending at a right angle from the head. The improved cutter consists of a mechanism for retaining a utility blade on the elongated rule of the conventional T-square in a proper position. When the head of the conventional T-square slides along one straight edge of the plasterboard sheet, the utility blade will make a score line across the plasterboard sheet, whereby a piece of the plasterboard sheet can then be snapped off.Type: GrantFiled: June 3, 1992Date of Patent: August 3, 1993Inventor: Kenneth Chang

Patent number: 5219669Abstract: The present invention provides a packaging semiconductor structure and method for obtaining same. The structure is comprised of at least one level of dielectric and metallurgy layers. The at least one level is comprised of a wiring metallurgy plane and a "through-via" plane of interconnecting metallurgy in association with both one and two layers of polymeric dielectric materials. The self-alignment method of fabrication of the level provides a streamlined technique wherein stringent masking and alignment requirements are relaxed, undue processing such as at least one polishing step is eliminated and a structure having adhesive integrity is fabricated.Type: GrantFiled: April 21, 1992Date of Patent: June 15, 1993Assignee: International Business Machines CorporationInventors: Kenneth Chang, George Czornyj, Ananda H. Patent number: 4307179Abstract: A process for forming a layer of a metallurgy interconnection system on a substrate. The process involves forming a first electrically insulative layer of an organic polymerized resin material on the substrate, forming a second thin layer on the first layer which is resistant to dry etching conditions which are effective to etch the first layer, depositing a photoresist layer on the second layer, exposing the photoresist to form an inverse pattern of a desired metallurgy pattern and developing the photoresist, reactive ion etching the resultant exposed areas of the first and second layers, depositing a blanket continuous conductive metal layer over the hills and valleys of the pattern resulting from reactive ion etching, applying a planarizing photoresist layer, etching the photoresist to expose high spots of the metal layer, and etching the metal high spots to a depth sufficient to expose the surface of the second layer.Type: GrantFiled: July 3, 1980Date of Patent: December 22, 1981Assignee: International Business Machines CorporationInventors: Kenneth Chang, George T. Chiu, Anthony Hoeg, Jr., Linda H. Lee

Patent number: 4184909Abstract: A method for forming thin film interconnection patterns atop substrates, particularly semiconductor substrates. It features the use of the passivation layer itself, typically glass, as a stable masking material to etch the conductive lines. Conversely, the metal conductor is used as a stable mask in etching the glass to form via holes. The process provides a practical resist system which is compatible with reactive ion etching or other dry etching process.Type: GrantFiled: August 21, 1978Date of Patent: January 22, 1980Assignee: International Business Machines CorporationInventors: Kenneth Chang, David C. Patent number: 4076575Abstract: In integrated circuit fabrication, a method is provided for forming metallic connectors through a layer of electrically insulative material. The method comprises forming a layer of electrically insulative material on a substrate and then forming a mask of photoresist material having a plurality of openings through which said insulative layer is exposed on said insulative layer. Then, the exposed portions of said insulative layer are removed by etching to form openings through which the underlying substrate is exposed, after which a first metal layer is deposited over the masked substrate. This metal layer is thinner than the insulative layer so that the openings in the insulative layer are only filled part way up with metal. Then, the photoresist mask is removed thereby removing the metal layer deposited on it to leave only the metal in the insulative layer openings.Type: GrantFiled: June 30, 1976Date of Patent: February 28, 1978Assignee: International Business Machines CorporationInventor: Kenneth Chang
