  • Publication number: 20140007057
Abstract: Disclosed are various embodiments for evaluating application compatibility with computing devices. A set of applications is determined and then filtered to exclude those applications which are incompatible with a particular client. The filtering is performed by determining a capability set for the client and performing an evaluation of a compatibility expression for each application using the capability set to determine whether each application is compatible with the client. The filtered set of applications is returned and may be used in user interfaces associated with an application marketplace system.

  • Publication number: 20110035071
Abstract: A system tool merges different load forecasts for power grid centers. A plurality of load forecast engines are coupled to a load forecast interface and a relational data base that saves load forecast engine data as an input through the load forecast interface. A comprehensive operating plan is coupled to the load forecast engines and the relational database. The comprehensive operating plan is configured to integrate individual load forecasts into a composite load forecast to present a comprehensive, synchronized and harmonized load forecast. A program interface provides access to the composite load forecasting schedule.

  • Publication number: 20070000128
Abstract: A method of manufacturing a fuel injector nozzle where a nozzle seat and a nozzle insert are made using a metal injection molding process. The nozzle seat and the nozzle insert are assembled and bonded together while in their green state. The resulting nozzle assembly is then debinded and sintered to obtain the desired fuel injector nozzle.

  • Publication number: 20040213715
Abstract: A process for the selective removal of a least a portion of at least one precious metal in the form of a metal-cyanide complex from an ion-exchange resin to which the precious metal and at least one base metal-cyanide complex are bound, wherein the at least one precious metal is eluted from the resing by contacting the resin with an eluent comprising at least one counter-ion contained in a solvent selected from an organic solvent or a combination of an organic solvent and an aqueous solvent.

  • Patent number: 6233788
Abstract: An integrally molded clip (10) and clip assembly (30) has a back (11), a front (12), a bridging member (13) and spigot guide tracks (20). Front (12) has a socket (15) and a locking member (16) that is biased to a spigot locking position and having a free end providing part of a side wall (18) of socket (15). Locking member (16) is pivotal about a pivotal axis (21) provided by a pivotal mount (22) on front (12) and has a lock release member (23) extending away from socket (15). A protrusion (24) in socket (15) is biased by a rib (25) to engage one of slots (34) on a spigot (31) that enables different locking positions of a portable electronic device using assembly (30). The device is rotatable when spigot (31) is engaged with socket (15) and detachable from clip (10) when a user actuates lock release member (23).

  • Patent number: 4891213
Abstract: Nail enamel compositions, particularly of the nitrocellulose type, have added a small amount of microcrystalline cellulose powder. When the compositions are applied to the nails, the microcrystalline cellulose particles act in lieu of long thin fibers to reinforce and strengthen the enamel coating while some of the particles tend to settle into the valleys between the nail ridges to smooth out the surface of the nails. These enamel compositions can be used without prior application of a filler coat to give a smooth, glossy, reinforced finish to the nails with no fibers visible.

  • Patent number: 4842610
Abstract: Hair removal compositions useful for cosmetic, medical and other purposes comprise 90 to 99.5% corn syrup and 0.5% to 10% added water by weight. The compositions can also include additives such as germicides, preservatives and opacifiers. The compositions are used by applying them to the surface of the skin in a hairy area, pressing a sheet of paper or other fibrous material against the area and subsequently lifting the sheet of fibrous material or peeling it off the skin surface. The compositions are also useful in removing blemishes and scaly, flaky or dry skin.

  • Patent number: 4612193
Abstract: Ointment compositions for the treatment of styes and related infectious conditions of the eyelid. The ointments contain an emollient base, including white petrolatum, mineral oil and microcrystalline wax, as well as boric acid, wheat germ oil and mercuric oxide, the concentration of boric acid in the ointment is about 2-10% by weight, as is the concentration of the wheat germ oil, while the mercuric oxide is present in a concentration of about 1-1.2% by weight. The wheat germ oil enhances the anti-bacterial potency of the mercuric oxide, and the boric acid stabilizes the mercuric oxide in the presence of the wheat germ oil to prevent discoloration of the ointment.
