  • Patent number: 11989836
Abstract: A system (100) for monitoring a controlled spatial volume (102) includes a lighting fixture (104) with one or more embedded sensors (106), a communication device (108) to provide monitored sensor data (142) for storage within a data store (140), a server (130) including a data analytic unit (136) in communication with the data store, the data analytic unit accessing the monitored sensor data to analyze the monitored data and provide status information on the spatial volume. The server can include a machine vision unit (138) to analyze the monitored data and create augmented reality renditions (520), which are rendered for display to a user by an augmented reality application (160).

  • Patent number: 11741810
Abstract: A server associated with a building automation emergency response system, receives indications of a detected emergency from sensors distributed among zones in the building, comprising a sensor reading level and a sensor identity. The server determines a zone danger level, based on the sensor identity and on the sensor reading levels. The server calculates an evacuation route commencing from user interfaces distributed among the zones. The user interfaces include a display device. The evacuation route is calculated to traverse the zones with a lower route danger level. The evacuation route is directed toward a safe exit, based on a floor plan. The server then transmits a depiction of the evacuation route to the user interfaces for display. The server continues receiving updated indications from the sensors, determines updated route danger levels, calculates an updated evacuation route, and transmits an updated depiction of the evacuation route to the user interfaces for display.

  • Patent number: 11094121
Abstract: A method of generating an augmented reality (AR) signage solution including acquiring an image of a structure, establishing scaling information for the image by correlating dimensional information of the structure to points in the image, obtaining jurisdictional signage rules, designing a layout for signage on the structure in compliance with the jurisdictional signage rules, depicting in AR the acquired image and signage layout, and generating production documentation after obtaining user approval. The method including detecting the location of one or more obstructions on the structure and incorporating the obstruction locations in the signage layout. The method including adjusting the orientation of the acquired structure image within the AR to reduce skew of the structure in relation to a viewing perspective. A system and non-transitory computer-readable medium are also disclosed.

  • Publication number: 20210191349
Abstract: A server associated with a building automation system of a building, determines an occurrence of an emergency in the building, based on detection of the emergency by sensors distributed in the building. The server transmits to a remote emergency service, an alert of the detected emergency. In response, the server receives from the remote emergency service, an authorized login to temporarily transfer to the remote emergency service, control of the building automation system to respond to the detected emergency. In response to the authorized login, the server transfers the control to the remote emergency service, and causes the remote emergency service to transmit a command to devices in the building automation system. When the command is received by the devices, it modifies or alters operation of the devices. After the detected emergency has been resolved, the server disables the temporary transfer of control by the remote emergency service.
