  • Patent number: 9636070
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices are provided for monitoring and displaying medical parameters for a patient. In one embodiment, a display screen can include information related to a physiological parameter being measured from a patient. The information can include a current value based on values of the physiological parameter gathered from the patient over a period of time. The display screen can indicate whether or not the current value is within a predetermined normal range for the physiological parameter and whether or not the current value is within a predetermined goal range for the physiological parameter. The goal range can be nested within the normal range. If the current value moves outside the normal range, an alarm can be triggered. A goal alarm can be triggered if the current value is within the normal range but falls outside the goal range.

  • Patent number: 9636017
Abstract: A modular sensor system is disclosed. The system can include one or more sensors, a mounting unit, and a control unit. The mounting unit can enable the control unit and/or one or more sensors to be securely, but detachably, mounted to a patient's body. The control unit can include electronics and other components configured to interface with, monitor, and record data from the one or more sensors. The control unit can further include a wired bus, transceiver, antenna, or other suitable components to enable wireless communication between the system and a central control or monitor. Some or all of the components included in the control unit can be removable from the system to enable some or all of the electronics of the system to be removed.

  • Patent number: 6838287
Abstract: An improved, affordable, and rapid fluid mixture composition or process monitor based on a thermal microstructure sensor. This is preferably accomplished with a microbridge sensor design that has reduced susceptibility to interfering components of the mixture. The sensor described herein is therefore suitable for monitoring the concentration of at least one component in a fluid mixture when the fluid mixture consists of either (1) two components with very different thermal conductivities; or (2) three or more components wherein at least one component has a very different thermal conductivity and the effects of the other components can be largely eliminated, especially if the component of interest is hydrogen and the interference is from the variability in the concentrations of CO2 and H2O.
