Publication number: 20120304869Abstract: A hot beverage maker and dispensing system (10) is provided having an integral beverage reservoir (110) that uses positive air pressure to dispense the brewed beverage from the reservoir (110). The positive air pressure is generated by an electric pump (150) that is energized when an actuator (210) is depressed by a container to be filled with the brewed beverage. The actuator (210) also causes a first valve (42) to pause the beverage during brewing into a brew head (300) from being directed into the reservoir (110). The actuator (210) also causes a second valve (241) in the lid (115) of the reservoir (110) to seal the reservoir (110). Thus, positive air pressure generated by the electric pump (150) forces the beverage in the reservoir (110) through a dispensing outlet (215) into the container. When the actuator (210) is release!, the brewing of the beverage may resume and the beverage may again be directed from the brew head (300) into the reservoir (110).Type: ApplicationFiled: December 10, 2010Publication date: December 6, 2012Inventors: Taylor Kwok, Kenneth D. Publication number: 20090002463Abstract: A printing system includes a liquid drop ejector operable to eject liquid drops having a plurality of volumes along a first path. A fluid passage includes a wall with the wall including a perforated portion. A fluid flow source is operable to cause the fluid to flow through the passage along the perforated portion of the wall. Interaction of the fluid flow and the liquid drops causes liquids drops having one of the plurality of volumes to begin moving along a second path.Type: ApplicationFiled: June 29, 2007Publication date: January 1, 2009Inventors: Jinquan Xu, Kenneth D. Patent number: 7147390Abstract: A system for supplying a processing solution to a printing device, such as a photographic processor or a printer, which includes a supply tank with processing solution or ink and a delivery system between the supply tank and a printing device. The delivery system has a retaining vessel with retained fluid, in the vessel, and a reference probe to signal a level probe when fluid reaches a predetermined level on receipt of a replenish signal from the controller for the printing device. The power supply actuates a three-way valve in order to flow a volume of the processing solution from the supply tank to the retaining vessel. A power supply receives the adjustable liquid level probe signal from the adjustable liquid level probe. Then switches the three-way valve to flow the retained fluid from the retaining vessel to the printer.Type: GrantFiled: August 31, 2004Date of Patent: December 12, 2006Assignee: Eastman Kodak CompanyInventors: Ralph L.
