  • Patent number: 5371143
Abstract: Fluorine-containing thermoplastic elastomeric compositions comprising: (A) a continuous phase comprising: (1) about 0 to 90 weight percent of thermoplastic polymer having a melt temperature or glass transition temperature greater than about 150.degree. C., and (2) about 10 to 100 weight percent of block thermoplastic elastomer having a melt temperature greater than about 150.degree. C.; and (B) a disperse phase comprising particles or domains of cured, fluoroelastomer composition. Such compositions are preferably prepared by dynamically vulcanizing the ingredients of the fluorine-containing thermoplastic elastomeric composition.

  • Patent number: 4932711
Abstract: A base in the form of a tube is attached to the dash of automobile. The bottom of an accordion pleated shade is attached to the base. A strip of pliant fabric is attached to the top of the shade. A batten at the top of the pliant fabric is used to hook the shade up. Strings extend through the pleated fabric to a slat located between the pleated fabric and pliant fabric. Tension means at the base pulls the strings down to collapse the pleated fabric. The pliant fabric covers the collapsed pleated fabric and base.
