  • Publication number: 20240100325
Abstract: A fixation component includes tines extending from a base portion of the fixation component. Each tine is elastically deformable between a pre-set position and an open position. Each tine includes a hook segment extending from a proximal end near the base portion to a distal end. Each tine also includes a distal segment extending from the distal end of the hook segment to a tissue-piercing tip. When positioned in the pre-set position, the hook segment extends along a pre-set curvature that encloses an angle between 135 degrees and 270 degrees, and the distal segment extends away from a longitudinal axis of the fixation component.

  • Patent number: 6254711
Abstract: The present invention relates to graphic or informational articles that may be applied to a surface of a translucent or substantially clear substrate so that the image may be viewed through the substrate. The present invention is an indoor advertising system or kit that includes two components. The first component is a substantially clear, perforated imageable film layer with a perforated adhesive layer on a surface thereof. The second component is a non-perforated colorant transfer component that includes a removable carrier film with at least one color layer on a surface thereof. The present invention further includes a process for making the graphic articles. In the process of the present invention, an image layer is formed on a first major surface of a substantially clear, perforated imageable film layer.

  • Patent number: 6054213
Abstract: Acrylate copolymer pressure sensitive adhesives (PSAs) which incorporate relatively small amounts of a plasticizer are disclosed. The resulting PSAs exhibit improved low temperature performance and minimal effect on other properties, when used as adhesives for graphic marking films. The adhesive system has been found to allow the graphic marking film to be applied at temperatures as low as 20.degree. F. (-7.degree. C.) and to improve the ability of the film to be applied to a substrate without trapping air between the marking film and the substrate. The adhesive system of the marking film also demonstrates resistance to tenting around the compound curved surfaces of rivet heads and corrugations typical of truck trailer sides.

  • Patent number: 5951749
Abstract: Water-based pigmented inks are disclosed. Such inks are formed from water-based dispersions of pigment particles having novel dispersants therein. The dispersions are formed from the reaction product of an amino acid compound with a nitrogen reactive compound with subsequent hydrolysis providing the capability of the dispersant to hydrophobically interact with the pigment particles. The resultinginks are well-suited for use in ink jet and other printing applications.
