Abstract: The invention provides that receptor material sheet is so formed or treated as to vary the microwave heating characteristics thereof. In one arrangement, the microwave heating characteristic is varied by corrugating the receptor material, while in another case the sheet material is embossed or treated so as to break up the receptor layer. In preferred arrangements the above two features are embodied in the same material, and according to a further preferred feature the receptor materials are embodied in packages for foodstuffs to be microwave cooked.

Abstract: A system for delivery and stacking sheets of paper into a receiving tray or chute from a processing machine, such as a printing machine and the like, includes supporting flanges at the open end of the chute for supporting the side edges of the paper and an air jet system vertically above the paper for bending the paper about its axis for longitudinal support of the paper to prevent roll and tumble of the sheet into the chute.

Abstract: A water fountain control wiper unit of resilient material having a tubular portion on one edge that is slit for fitting over the edge of the fountain tray. The wiper has sufficient width so that a relatively flat surface tangentially adjacent the water fountain roller is biased against the water fountain roller to remove water upon rotation of the water fountain roller. The wiper unit has a length substantially shorter than the length of the water fountain roller so that one or more of the wiper units can be positioned along the length of the fountain roller to provide selective water removal, and the connector on the wiper blade unit allows the wiper blade to be quickly and easily mounted on or removed from the connected position on the edge of the water fountain tray.

Abstract: The invention consists of an attachment for a sheet material transporting system such as the ejector system of an off-set printing press, wherein the ejector system includes a rotating ejector drum, an idler wheel in frictional engagement with said drum adjacent each end thereof and being supported by a shaft rotatably disposed axially paralled to said drum and being rotatably driven by said idler wheels. Said attachment consists of a frame composed of paralled spaced frame members and an idler wheel rotatably disposed between said frame members at each end thereof. One of said idler wheels is coaxially disposed on said shaft and is rotated thereby. Said frame includes means for attaching said attachment to the off-set press for lateral adjustment to permit the idler wheels to contact the sheet material being ejected adjacent the edge thereof.
