  • Publication number: 20070282942
Abstract: The invention enables server administrators (SAs) to improve their productivity and performance. With the methods and systems described herein, the prior art needed to search for appropriate tools for appropriate tasks is minimized and/or eliminated. Easier scripting and automation that does not require implementation across tools is provided. A consistent logical place is provided for all resources to be used. Standardization of tools enables improvements in service quality. Tools may be provided using one unambiguous authoritative data model, which eliminates data inconsistencies between sources. With the invention, updates to service delivery clients may be delivered more quickly. The invention also reduces costs for developing, deploying, and maintaining a tightly integrated service delivery client. Integration may be provided from the bottom up rather than after the fact.

  • Patent number: 7211057
Abstract: The massage device has a housing, which includes a massage head integral with the housing. The massage head has a first massaging surface. A heating element, integral with the housing, is positioned sufficiently proximate to the first massaging surface to raise a temperature of the first massaging surface above ambient temperature. The massage device also includes a massage head cover formed to engage the massage head, said massage head cover comprising a second massaging surface and a freezable material.

  • Patent number: 7201099
Abstract: A device and system for monitoring food is described. The food monitoring device has a temperature sensor and a temperature sensor base. The temperature sensor base has a transmitter and a microphone. The temperature sensor base is electrically coupled to the temperature sensor. A monitor having a speaker and a receiver communicates with the transmitter of the temperature sensor base. The transmitter of the temperature sensor base transmits a temperature sensed by the temperature sensor and an audio signal produced by the microphone.

  • Patent number: 7200378
Abstract: Channelizing an applied current and applying a voltage to the channelized current enables switching of the applied current. According to the present invention, an applied current enters through a signal input carrier (12) and is channelized by a plurality of lateral potential wells created by a plurality of polysilicon fingers gates (14). A first voltage is applied to a first set of the plurality of polysilicon finger gates (32) and a second differential voltage is applied to a second set of the plurality of polysilicon finger gates (34), which results in a differential current flow among the lateral potential wells beneath the first and second sets of polysilicon fingers (32, 34), respectively. The differential current then flows to first and second signal output carriers (40, 42).

  • Patent number: 7165368
Abstract: A blanket of fibrous building insulation is provided, for in situ cutting to correspond to spacings between studs or like building members between which the insulation is to be applied. The blanket includes a layer of fibrous insulation material and a facing material adhered thereto. An adhesive provides the adhesion between the two layers. Perforations in the facing material provide openings allowing some of the adhesive to bleed into the perforations to be visible from the opposite side whereby a plurality of perforations provide guidelines for cutting the blanket to desired sizes for installation between structural building members.

  • Patent number: 7138797
Abstract: A method is disclosed for testing pinned layers of magnetic disk drive read heads having at least one pinned layer, where the magnetic orientation of the pinned layers has been set in an initial direction. The method includes applying a large magnetic test field at a reverse canted reset angle. First test responses from the disk drive read heads are then measured in a small magnetic test field. A large magnetic test field is applied at normal canted reset angle. The disk drive heads are then subjected to a full suite of performance tests in a small magnetic test field to verify their acceptability. These second test responses are then compared to the first test responses to identify read heads having weakly pinned layers.

  • Patent number: 7114291
Abstract: A door drop stop safety system which is adapted to be installed on existing building overhead doors which employ a central axle; slab doors, bifold doors, and rollup doors which contains structure for raising and lowering the the door including a rewind box including an inertia reel and a length of strap. The inertia reel allowing normal motion, but is adapted to lock as soon as a predetermined rate of rotation is reached due to the door beginning to free fall. The system includes structure means for mounting the rewind box on an existing door, including slab doors, bifold doors, and rollup doors.
