  • Publication number: 20220301456
Abstract: The present invention is a magnetic hook-and-loop connecting assembly for an ionic disc bonding model, which allow ionic components with positive or negative charges to be strongly attracted to each other, lock together firmly but softly, and yet still be easily taken apart. The core components of the invention are strong magnets (e.g. neodymium or equivalent) and hook-and-loop (Velcro® or equivalent) connectors, which, generally speaking, are configured as follows: a strong magnet embedded into the disc representing the positive, cationic charge has half of the hook-and-loop system attached to it or attached to an intermediate component adjacent to the magnet. The negative, anionic charge has the strong magnet with opposite orientation to the cationic charge and the other connecting half of the hook-and-loop system attached to the magnet or an intermediate component adjacent to the magnet.

  • Publication number: 20080312902
Abstract: An apparatus, method, and control means enabling a user to select a phrase (196) from a logically ordered phrase-set (140) displayed on a user display (32), to display a translation of that phrase (196) into the target language (144) on a respondent display (44), and to play a prerecorded audio file (188) of a native speaker of that target language (144). If the phrase (196) is a question, the respondent, in turn, can select one of the limited choice answers (198) displayed on the respondent display (44). The translation of the respondent's selection, in the case of an answer to a question, is then displayed in the source language (142) on the user's display (32). A verified history of the previous questions and answers asked and answered plus an audio and video record is maintained by the system for the user to review.

  • Patent number: 6317072
Abstract: In a jamming cancellation system wherein a balanced modulator receives as two inputs thereto: the desired plus jamming signals, and the AM difference frequency produced by the beating of the desired and jamming signals, jamming suppression, in an environment containing two jamming signals, is achieved by peak detecting the output from the AM difference frequency producing means and applying same directly to the receiver video input or upconverting same to the receiver r.f. frequency and applying same to the system receiver.

  • Patent number: 4057802
Abstract: A sidelobe cancellation system in which the cancellation loop is insensitive to both target and clutter signals is disclosed including a correlator wherein the video inputs thereto are timegated to exclude all but maximum range signals and the gated video is further bandpass filtered to exclude the mainlobe and first sidelobe of the radar video spectrum.
