    Abstract: An air turbine motor has a turbine wheel mounted for rotation in a housing. A first set of elements distributed around the circumference of the turbine wheel drive the wheel in rotation in response to an axial flow of drive air. A second set of elements on a face of the wheel drive the wheel in rotation in response to radial flow of drive air. Stators direct drive air to the first elements in an axial direction and to the second elements in a radial direction.
