    Abstract: A device for piercing a cable includes a first clamp member and a second clamp member. The first clamp member and the second clamp member are superposed relative to each other. A conductive piercing member is disposed on the first clamp member. The device further includes an arrangement for moving the first clamp member and the second clamp member together. As the first clamp member and the second clamp member are moved together, a distance between the conductive piercing member and the second clamp member is reduced.
