  • Patent number: 4785427
Abstract: A semiconductor memory for storing binary data which may be accessed more rapidly is disclosed which semiconductor memory includes a pair of differential bit lines for receiving signals corresponding to the binary data; a semiconductor memory device for storing binary data is coupled between the differential bit lines to provide signals corresponding to the binary data when reading the semiconductor memory device during the read cycle. A semiconductor clamping device is coupled between the differential bit lines to selectively provide a current path between the differential bit lines during the reading of the semiconductor device.

  • Patent number: 4676636
Abstract: An alignment aid for use in installing a reference system of known type which reflects an image of an indicator mark mounted on a gun turret, back into the gun sight via a mirror mounted at the muzzle end of the gun barrel, for comparison with a reference mark on the graticule of the gunsight, thereby to indicate any angular deviation between the muzzle axis and the gunner's line of sight. The alignment aid, which is used in setting the mirror to provide initial coincidence between the indicator mark image and the reference mark, consists of a highly reflective viewing screen attachable to the turret adjacent the indicator mark, and a projection lamp attached to the gun sight so as to protect an image of the reference mark onto the screen, via the telescopic optics of the gunsight and the mirror.

  • Patent number: 4641471
Abstract: A sheet metal nail of the type for securing built-up roofing membranes used to waterproof cementitious roof decks has a head and a hollow shank portion integral therewith and designed to resist withdrawal of the nail from the deck in a conventional manner, the head however being of larger diameter than the head of the conventional nail used for this purpose and further having a design which allows the fluid asphalt conventionally poured over the nail during construction of the roofing membrane to bond the portion of the membrane beneath the head and thereby increase the wind uplift resistance of the roofing membrane. The nail is preferably of "one piece" construction formed from a sheet metal blank.

  • Patent number: 4641472
Abstract: A fastener for securing built-up roofing membranes used to waterproof cementitious roof decks combines the conventional nail used for this purpose having a head and a shank portion designed to resist withdrawal of the fastener from the deck, with a non-integral tab penetrated by the shank of the nail and of larger diameter than the nail head, the tab having a design which allows the fluid asphalt conventionally poured over the nail during construction of the roofing membrane to bond the portion of the membrane beneath the tab and thereby increase the wind uplift resistance of the covering material. Removability of the tab allows its detachment in applications where increased uplift resistance is unnecessary.

  • Patent number: 4636983
Abstract: A current limiting, process compensating circuit for CMOS memory arrays is provided. A dual transistor bias circuit is connected to each of a pair of columns of the array with a four transistor voltage reference circuit having its output connected to the gates of the active P-channel transistor of each bias circuit. A first P-channel transistor of the voltage reference circuit is sized to be less than the P-channel transistor of the bias circuit and the other three N-channel transistors are sized to be the same as the second transistor of the bias circuit and the two transistors of each memory cell in the array. As supply voltage to the array moves up or down making more or less current available, the combined circuit maintains nearly constant current on the first transistor of each bias circuit while compensating for process variation.

  • Patent number: 4372706
Abstract: An apparatus to prevent the accidental release of a wire rope used, for instance, as an underwater guy wire on a guyed tower. The apparatus has a clamp attached to the wire rope which, when the rope is released, hits a stopping ram which presses into wedge-shaped rope grippers. The wedges squeeze the rope and stop against wedge blocks which are attached to an inside portion of the guyed tower.
