  • Patent number: 11410122
Abstract: An impulse strip including a plurality of clips, hooks or other features for attaching items to the impulse strip also includes a plurality of switches associated with each of the clips, hooks or other features. The switches are in communication with illuminators or other indicators that are arranged in an array. When an item is loaded onto the strip, or removed from the strip, a switch may be opened or closed, causing one of the illuminators in the array to be activated or deactivated accordingly. An image captured of the illuminators is processed to determine which of the illuminators is activated and which is deactivated, and an inventory level of the strip may be determined based on the statuses of the respective illuminators corresponding to the clips, the hooks or the other features of the impulse strip.

  • Patent number: 11392401
Abstract: A device-management system performs processing, such as audio processing, in an instance of a virtual machine corresponding to a functionally limited (local) device. To register the user device, the device-management system receives a registration request that includes device information, encryption data, and an indication of an associated user account. The device-management system then sends this registration data to a service-provider system, which returns a shared encryption key. The device-management system and the user device may use this shared encryption key to securely communicate. The device-management system may de-allocate the instance upon detecting a period of inactivity of the user device and may re-allocate the instance when new activity is detected. The device-management system may further determine when and if audio data to be sent to the user device is encoded using a codec not implemented by the user device.

  • Patent number: 11346703
Abstract: A platform is supported at four corners by four half-bridge load cells. Adjacent load cells are oppositely polarized. During operation, analog output from a pair of oppositely polarized half-bridge load cells is provided to an instrument amplifier. Analog output from the instrument amplifier is provided to an analog to digital converter to provide digital data. The digital data is then used to determine weight data indicative of a weight as measured by the pair of half-bridge load cells at that time. A set of switching elements, such as a quad bilateral switch controlled by a microcontroller, rapidly switch between pairs of oppositely polarized load cells. The weight data may be used to determine an overall weight change on the platform, such as a pick or a place of an item. Weight data from the four pairs of load cells may be used to determine a change in center of gravity.

  • Publication number: 20220155991
Abstract: Systems and methods include storing one or more counters in a plurality of locations in Double Data Rate (DDR) Random Access Memory (RAM) such that each counter is stored partially in multiple locations across the DDR RAM; and accessing banks in the DDR RAM sequentially for read operations and write operations associated with the one or more counters. The multiple locations include a location in each bank of the banks in the DDR RAM. A read operation for a counter is performed by reading all of the corresponding multiple locations and combining associated values to return a result for the counter. A write operation for a counter is performed by writing to a location of the multiple locations that is currently in sequence.

  • Patent number: 11326934
Abstract: An apparatus includes a platform or other accessory that is supported by one or more piezoelectric transducers. As items are placed on or removed from the accessory, the piezoelectric transducer generates an electric charge that is representative of a change in weight. An amplifier receives the charge and provides output voltage that can be sampled to determine a weight value. In one implementation the platform may be supported by a transducer assembly comprising a frame and a pair of piezoelectric transducers on opposite sides of the frame. Signals from the pair may be used to compensate for environmental effects on the assembly, such as changes in temperature. The piezoelectric transducers and associated circuitry are extremely energy efficient, consuming little electrical power during operation.

  • Publication number: 20210409501
Abstract: A method includes assigning unique symbols respectively to potential interactions with a website. The method includes obtaining asserted interaction symbol sequences of multiple browsing sessions, respectively. Each browsing session corresponds to a visitor of the website. For each browsing session, the asserted interaction symbol sequence of the respective browsing session is a sequence of symbols, from among the unique symbols, that corresponds, respectively, to a sequence of asserted interactions with the web site visited during the respective browsing session by the corresponding visitor. The method includes generating a master string including the asserted interaction symbol sequences by concatenating the asserted interaction symbol sequences with sentinel symbols together such that at least one sentinel symbol exists between each consecutive pair of asserted interaction symbol sequences.
