  • Patent number: 6692374
Abstract: A retrieving device includes a support bracket and an expandable ball holder member which has a pair of arms with outer end portions capable of being flexed away from one another and having oppositely curved configurations, and an intermediate structure rigidly interconnecting inner end portions of the arms and pivotally connected to the lower end of the support bracket such that the expandable member is pivotally movable between a first position in which it extends alongside the support bracket and a second position in which it extends outwardly from the lower end of the support bracket such that when the retrieving device is used to retrieve a golf ball with the expandable member in the second position the outer end portions of the arms thereof are forced against the golf ball causing their outward flexing from one another to fit around and support the golf ball for lifting it.

  • Patent number: 5579795
Abstract: A golf cart sun shade and inclement weather protection device includes a support frame adapted for attachment to a golf cart and being convertible between a retracted position and an extended position and an elongated shade adapted for attachment to the support frame and being convertible between a collapsed condition and a deployed condition. The shade in the collapsed condition is unattached and removed from the support frame and in the deployed condition is releasably attachable to and overlying the support frame with the support frame in the extended position. The support frame is secured to the golf cart and the golf club bag is placed within the support frame. The shade is attached to the support frame while the support frame is moved from the retracted position to the extended position. A securing arrangement secures the support frame in the extended position.

  • Patent number: 5281193
Abstract: Bench-press and preacher-curl weight workout stations incorporate improved safety features to reduce the likelihood of injury to the weight lifter during the workouts. A bench assembly of the bench-press station has includes a platform and a base supporting the platform. The safety feature in the bench assembly is a platform height adjusting mechanism operable to permit one end of the platform to undergo pivotal movement from an upper position to a lower position relative to the base to where the body of the weight lifter is clear of the barbell so that the weight lifter can slide out from under the barbell and off the platform at the end of a workout session.
