  • Publication number: 20210015393
Abstract: An EEG headgear assembly for placement on the head of a subject which includes headgear formed from elastic straps and wired electrodes. The electrodes are secured to the headgear by means of elastic pockets which press an electrode head toward a subjects skin.
    Type: Application

    Publication date: January 21, 2021
Inventors: Kenneth George Jordan, Gary Reasoner
  • Patent number: 10130278
Abstract: A device for performing EEG which consists of an elastic head strap, electrodes, and a wireless transmitter. The wireless transmitter, which displays indicators of electrode impedance, is secured to a patient using a docking station attached to the head strap at the crown of a subject's head and is placed into electrical communication with the electrodes using conductive thread sewn into the head strap. A simplified user interface comprising graphical elements improves the detection of brain wave patterns.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: October 15, 2013
Date of Patent: November 20, 2018
    Assignee: JORDAN NEUROSCIENCE, INC.
Inventors: Kenneth George Jordan, Gary Loubert, David Bakkom

  • Patent number: 6985769
Abstract: A method and system for automated real time interpretation of brain waves in an acute brain injury of a patient using correlations between brain wave frequency power ratio and wave morphology, determined by a measure of the rhythmicity and variability of the brain wave as a function of the slope of the brain wave upstroke, the arc of the brain wave, and the synchronicity of the brain wave. A system is provided with a central processing unit (16), an electroencephalogram acquisition unit (18), a reference database (24), a quantitative electroencephalogram analysis program (14), and a display device (26) for communicating the classification of the acquired electroencephalographic signals. Artifact rejection is also provided.

  • Patent number: 6950697
Abstract: An acquisition unit provided which provides a turn-key interface to the non-expert personnel who attend acutely brain-injured victims, preventing change or modification of the electroencephalogram parameters by the field technician, while at the same time allowing extensive control over parameters by a remote expert EEG reader; and a method and system is provided using the template and acquisition unit of the present invention with one of a plurality of remote readers who are part of a network of trained EEG readers.

  • Publication number: 20030018278
Abstract: An acquisition unit is provided which provides a turn-key interface to the non-expert personnel who routinely attend acutely brain-injured victims, preventing change or modification of the electroencephalogram parameters by the field technician, while at the same time allowing extensive control over parameters by a remote expert EEG reader; and a method and system is provided using the template and acquisition unit of the present invention with one of a plurality of remote readers who are part of a network of trained EEG readers.

  • Patent number: 6510340
Abstract: A template for placing electrodes for electroencephalography of acute-brain-injured victims is provided which modifies the number of electrode locations from that taught by the standard 10-20 System, and which has indicia that can be quickly and easily read by non-experts during emergency application; an acquisition unit is provided which provides a turn-key interface to the non-expert personnel who routinely attend acutely brain-injured victims, preventing change or modification of the electroencephalogram parameters by the field technician, while at the same time allowing extensive control over parameters by a remote expert EEG reader; and a method and system is provided using the template and acquisition unit of the present invention with one of a plurality of remote readers who are part of a network of trained EEG readers.
