  • Publication number: 20250139556
Abstract: Embodiments disclosed herein generate a strategy insight report for a user's business, leveraging generative artificial intelligence—particularly large language models—and pre-stored data associated with the user. The large language models are used to capture subjective information associated with different insight areas, e.g., strength, weakness, opportunity, and threat (SWOT) of a SWOT model. The captured subjective information is augmented, supplemented, and/or modified by the pre-stored data to generate the strategy insight report. In contrast to conventional results and reports, the disclosed strategy insight report provides a current state of the user's business as well as next steps and recommendations.

  • Patent number: 11875123
Abstract: The one or more embodiments provide for a method, system, and computer program product, an intent, generated by a large language model from a text, is received from a user device as a first input to an advice planner. A state of an account is received as a second input to the advice planner. The advice planner classifieds the intent into a domain corresponding to the intent, and generates, as output, a plan comprising a first set of action logic associated with the domain. Each action logic is a discrete step in an ordered sequence for achieving a desired state of the account. The advice planner forwards the plan to the large language model (LLM). The large language model receives the plan as input and generates advice in a natural language format as output. The advice is then forwarded to the user device.

  • Patent number: 11810022
Abstract: A method for using piecewise forecasts involves obtaining, by a model discovery service, a plurality of models and generating, by a demand prediction service, a plurality of values for a time series variable. The plurality of values corresponding to a plurality of days to be predicted. The method further involves inputting the plurality of values for the time series variable as part of a piecewise forecast to a headcount estimation service and generating, by the headcount estimation service with the piecewise forecast, an estimated headcount from the time series variable.

  • Patent number: 11425250
Abstract: Systems and methods for call handling optimization of a call center are disclosed. A system is configured to: obtain a plurality of agent demand variables; obtain an indication of available agents that are associated with a plurality of skills; generate a multi-skill routing matrix depicting a routing problem from the agent demand variables and the available agents; deconstruct the multi-skill matrix into one or more band routing matrices; and identify, for each band routing matrix, a number of agents from the available agents to be used in solving the band routing matrix. Identifying the number of agents includes recursively simulating a plurality of possible routing solutions, measuring a quality metric for each simulation, and reducing the range of available agents based on the quality metric. The system may indicate the number of agents to be used for each routing sub-problem (which may be at the staff group level).

  • Publication number: 20200366670
Abstract: A method and system for authenticating a user (106) at a predetermined geographical location are provided. The method is conducted at a mobile device (104) and includes receiving (212) a set of data elements from an authentication server (102). The set of data elements relates to an augmented reality object configured for superimposition on image data which is obtained (214) from a camera of the mobile device (104). The image data relates to a physical environment in which the mobile device (104) is located. A composite view, in which the augmented reality object is superimposed on the image data, is displayed (216) on the display of the mobile device (104). User interaction data relating to user interaction with the augmented reality object is recorded (218) and transmitted (219) to the authentication server. The user interaction data is analysed and compared with an expected interaction for authentication of the user (106).

  • Patent number: 10487551
Abstract: A method for making an electric hinge comprising providing first and second hinge plates, each hinge plate having at least one knuckle and forming in each hinge plate an open slot extending from an edge distal from the knuckle and terminating at a mid-portion of the hinge plate to the knuckle. The open slot depth is less than the thickness of the hinge plate. The method includes drilling a hole from the terminus of each open slot to the knuckle of the hinge plate and passing a wire through the hole from the terminus of the open slot to the knuckle in the first hinge plate and from the knuckle of the second hinge plate to the corresponding terminus of the second hinge plate. • Patent number: 10127750
Abstract: A system and method for enabling opening of an electronic locking device (12) from a remote location is disclosed. A remotely accessible server (14) receives an opening request to open an electronic locking device (12) which secures a closing member (18). The opening request includes a unique identifier of the electronic locking device (12) and personal identification information of a mobile communications device (28) requesting to open the electronic locking device (12). The server (14) then determines, based on predefined parameters, whether the mobile communications device (28) is permitted to open the electronic locking device (12). If the server (14) determines that the mobile communications device (28) is permitted to open the electronic locking device (12), then it transmits an opening instruction to the electronic locking device (12) to unlock the closing member (18).

  • Patent number: 5874708
Abstract: A method of welding aluminum alloy workpieces includes the pretreatment of an area adjacent to the seam of the workpiece followed by irradiation of the area with an infrared laser beam having a diameter equal to or greater than the thickness of the workpieces. Substantial subsurface melting of the workpieces is initially generated and the beam can subsequently be scanned along the seam so as to maintain an isotherm corresponding to the melting point of the workpiece at the leading edge of the beam.

  • Patent number: 5814784
Abstract: A laser processing method establishes initial coupling between the laser beam and workpiece by irradiating an intermediate tool positioned adjacent the workpiece. The tool is more absorptive at the laser wavelength than the workpiece so that the efficiency of energy transfer is increased. Subsequent processing is performed by relative movement between the workpiece and beam, either independently of the tool or in conjunction with the tool. During further processing, the beam diameter is increased to be greater than the thickness of the workpiece to enhance the further processing.
