    Abstract: A motorized fan of a heating module, mounted close to the ceiling of a room, draws the air from an upward location into the heating module through one or more inlets. The air drawn in is forced through and heated by one or more heating elements. The heated air is discharged as a heated primary airflow through one or more outlets. An auxiliary motor is preferably suspended from the heating module and supports one or more fan blades for producing an upwardly directed secondary airflow. The secondary airflow mixes with the primary airflow to produce a mixture of primary and secondary airflows having a temperature higher than that of the secondary airflow. The force of the secondary airflow causes the mixture of airflows to circulate throughout the room in a toroidal path to near uniformly heat the walls, windows and floor of the room and create an essentially uniform air temperature throughout the room.

Heated air flowing from the heating element is mixed with the airflow caused by operation of the set of fan blades to distribute warmed air uniformly throughout the space of the room wherein the room conditioner is located.

    Abstract: Mounting assembly includes a junction box having a top wall and a downwardly extending side wall that define a cavity therein. A side mount may be disposed adjacent the junction box. A fixture support may be provided; and the side mount, the junction box, and the fixture support are disposed so that substantially all forces exerted on the fixture support are transferred to the side mount. The side mount may be attached to the junction box and may include a mounting plate configured for being secured to a support surface. The mounting plate may extend away from the junction box and may extend over the top wall of the junction box. A fastener may be provided which secures the side mount to the junction box. A fastener may be provided for securing the side mount to the support surface. The junction box may be made of plastic and the side mount may be made of metal.

    Abstract: Each of one or more ducts disposed proximate an electric ceiling fan motor within a housing includes one or more heating elements. One or more motors driving one or more fans is mounted in each duct to draw air through an inlet, heat the inflowing air, and exhaust the heated air through an outlet. Each duct may be thermally insulated from the ceiling fan motor and/or the housing to prevent overheating of the latter during operation. The upwardly moving air from the ceiling fan mixes with the heated air exhausted from each outlet. As a result of the air movement within the room caused by the ceiling fan, the heated air will be uniformly dispersed and the room will be uniformly heated.

One or more sets of three receivers mounted in a male member for electrically engaging each conductor interconnects the conductors of the cable and defines an electrical socket of a socket assembly of the electrical outlet box. A cover is attachable to the male member for covering the space between the socket assembly and the surrounding wall board aperture. Fittings are included and formed as part of the electrical outlet box to permit back to back attachment of a pair of electrical outlet boxes and for side by side mounting in a ganged manner of two or more electrical boxes. Routing of the cable in slots in the studs of a wall is described along with a retainer for retaining the cable in the slots.

A threaded hole for receiving fasteners of a fixture to be supported thereby may be provided on the fixture support.     Abstract: An electrical junction box or mounting assembly includes a box having a top wall and a side wall. The side wall extends downwardly away from the top wall and defines a cavity therein. A hole is provided in the side wall, and a fixture support is disposed in the hole. The fixture support may be made of metal, and the side wall and/or top wall may be made of plastic. The fastener may be a stud having a threaded hole therein. Flutes may be provided on the stud for engaging with the plastic/metal side wall for preventing rotation of the stud. An adhesive sufficiently strong to adhere the junction box to a downwardly facing surface may be provided on the top wall of the junction box. The adhesive may be in the form of double-sided tape. A method of extruding junction boxes includes extruding at least the side wall of the box and attaching a top wall thereto.

    Abstract: Mounting assembly includes a junction box having a top wall and a side wall. The side wall extends downwardly away from the top wall and defines a cavity therein. An auxiliary cavity may be provided adjacent to and outside of the cavity. A support may be provided that is at least partially within the auxiliary cavity. A dimpled hole may be provided in the top wall, and the supplemental fixture support extends into the dimpled hole for engaging at least a portion of the walls thereof. A threaded hole may be provided on the supplemental fixture support. The supplemental fixture support may be a stud or rivet. A rough surface or fluting may be provided on a portion of said support for engaging the walls of the dimpled hole. Preferably, the supplemental fixture support has exposed portions which are sufficiently smooth for preventing wear to plastic-coated electrical wire which engages such exposed surfaces of the fixture support.

A fixture support extends into the cavity and supports an electrical fixture. A locking or reinforcement element is provided to fixedly secure the fixture support to the junction box. The locking element is configured for preventing all relative movement between the fixture support and the box, so that the fixture support does not loosen during shipping, installation, or use. The fixture support may have exposed portions which are sufficiently smooth for preventing wear to plastic-coated electrical wires which engage such exposed surfaces of the fixture support. Two, four, or more fixture supports may be provided. Pairs of fixture supports sized for securing different types of fixtures may be provided. An adhesive element, such as double-sided tape, may be provided on the box for rapid attachment thereof to a support surface.

Preferably, the fixture support has an extension for engaging a side wall of the junction box for counteracting any tendency of the support to move or rotate when carrying a fixture or ceiling fan. Preferably, the auxiliary fixture support is sufficiently smooth for preventing wear to plastic-coated electrical wire which engages exposed surfaces of the fixture support.
