  • Publication number: 20140260877
Abstract: A circular saw blade comprises a generally circular body defining cutting teeth at a periphery thereof. First apertures in the body define a first mounting hole pattern for receiving mounting pins of a first circular saw machine defining a first mounting pin pattern thereof for mounting the circular saw blade thereto. Second apertures in the body define a second mounting hole pattern different than the first mounting hole pattern for receiving mounting pins of a second circular saw machine defining a second mounting pin pattern thereof different than the first mounting pin pattern for mounting the circular saw blade thereto. At least one of the first apertures and at least one of the second apertures are (i) at least one of (a) radially and (b) circumferentially displaced from each other; and (ii) at least one of (a) overlap and (b) are connected to each other.

  • Publication number: 20090274923
Abstract: A method and apparatus for forming a net or near net shaped work surface includes providing a substrate and engaging a die with the substrate forming a die cavity enclosing a portion of the substrate. A powdered metal is introduced into the cavity, heated prior to and within the die cavity, and pressurized to consolidate the powdered metal. The die is then disengaged from the substrate. In one exemplary embodiment, the work surface forms the cutting teeth of a saw blade.

  • Publication number: 20090038765
Abstract: An interchangeable fastener, such as a magnetic hook is insertable within tracks of a rectangular backing plate which has a reciprocal fastener, such as surface magnet, attached to its back side. The two-part hook, such as a curtain hook, with an adhesively attached base plate supports a removable curtain hook plate. The hook plate is made to slide horizontally into a holder which can be a section of extrusion with lips which would retain the hook plate regardless of any magnetic attraction. The base holder is adhesively bonded to any surface by a back surface with pressure sensitive adhesive which is uncovered prior to attachment by removal of a release sheet.

  • Patent number: 7131365
Abstract: A metal cutting band saw blade has a plurality of cutting teeth defining a cutting direction, and a repeating tooth pattern of between 3 and 7 teeth. Each tooth defines a laterally-extending upper surface having a width and a height with respect to the back edge of the blade, and side surfaces extending laterally and downwardly on opposite sides of the upper surface relative to each other at acute angles relative to the upper surface. The teeth located rearwardly of the first tooth with respect to the cutting direction of the saw blade define progressively lower heights and progressively smaller acute angles of the side surfaces, and the widths of the upper surfaces of these teeth are greater than the width of the upper surface of the respective first tooth.

  • Patent number: 6939092
Abstract: A sheet metal hole cutter has a cap plate defining a substantially circular peripheral groove and an annular shelf extending radially outwardly from the peripheral groove. An elongated band forming an approximately circular shape with opposite ends of the band contacting each other defines a base edge received within the circular peripheral groove in an abutting relationship with an inner edge of the groove. The band defines an axial depth of about ½ of an inch or less, and an outer diameter within the range of about 9/16 of an inch through about 6 inches. A weld region fixedly secures the base edge of the band to the cap plate. The annular shelf of the cap plate extends radially outwardly from the base edge of the band and defines a radial depth of at least approximately 1/16 of an inch in order to prevent over-feeding of the hole cutter through a work piece.
