    Abstract: A mechanical linkage connected between a pilot's helmet and a reference point in an aircraft permitting freedom of movement of the pilot's head in three dimensions as he visually tracks a target. A set of metal tapes provides freedom of movement in the longitudinal direction while two sets of mechanical linkages provide freedom of movement in the azimuth and elevational directions.
