    Abstract: A method and system for handling hazardous materials contained in a vial includes an isolation enclosure having an opening selectively sealable about the vial, a bag body portion, and a cap portion. A latching extraction element is attached to the cap portion and has a preceding engaging member to secure the vial to the isolation enclosure, an extraction member to be inserted into the vial and remove material therefrom, and a primary engaging member to secure the vial to the extraction member. A valve is mounted outside the isolation enclosure and controls the flow of fluid from the vial. An adaptor having a reseal member permits flow when coupled to the valve and restricts flow when uncoupled from the valve. Once uncoupled, the adaptor is removably associated with a second valve located remotely from the isolation enclosure, allowing fluid to pass into the second valve.

    Abstract: An exemplary method for circuit emulation over a multi-packet label switching (MPLS) network comprises the steps of receiving a time division multiplexed data stream at an ingress end, dividing the data stream into a set of fixed sized packets, adding a service header to each of the packets, adding an additional header on top of the service header in accordance with MPLS protocols, removing the additional header after each packet has been processed by the MPLS network, and using the service header to recover the data stream at an egress end.

    Abstract: An improved application architecture comprises a bifurcated structure having a language neutral portion and a localizable portion, compacted for efficiency into a smaller set of larger files. This bifurcated structure allows for easier distribution and updating of the application, while the reduced set of files provides for more efficient file management. A resource manifest can be specified during the compile stage to identify elements that are language specific and elements that remain language neutral. Furthermore, additional software can be used after compilation for compacting multiple localizable elements into a single file. Such compacting software can receive inputs specifying the language specific resources which are to be compacted into larger files, and the identity of those larger files.

    Abstract: A housing that can be used to form and maintain a fluid-tight connection between a container and a medical device. The housing comprises an internal receiving surface circumscribing a cavity into which a fitting of the medical device can be inserted. The internal receiving surface comprises a first wall portion having a first contact annulus and a second wall portion having a second contact annulus. Upon insertion of the fitting into an opening in the cavity of the housing, the fitting forms a primary seal with the first contact annulus and a secondary seal with the second contact annulus. The primary seal is formed as the surface of the fitting contacts the first contact annulus of the internal receiving surface of the housing. The secondary seal is formed as the surface of the fitting contacts the second contact annulus of the internal receiving surface of the housing.
