  • Publication number: 20190224399
Abstract: The invention relates to devices, systems, and methods for recharging zirconium phosphate. The devices, system, and methods use a patient pre-dialysis BUN level to set one or more recharge parameters for recharging the zirconium phosphate. The devices, systems, and methods allow for precision recharging of the zirconium phosphate based on the patient pre-dialysis BUN level.

  • Patent number: 9713668
Abstract: A device includes (i) a housing defining an interior, wherein the interior has a blood compartment, a plasma compartment, and a fluid compartment; (ii) a first filter disposed in the interior of the housing, and (iii) a second filter disposed in the interior of the housing. The first filter separates at least a portion of the blood compartment from at least a portion of the plasma compartment. The first filter is configured to allow plasma components, but not cell components, of blood to pass through the first filter from the blood compartment to the plasma compartment. The second filter separates at least a portion of the plasma compartment from at least a portion of the fluid compartment. The second filter is configured to allow fluid and small molecules, but not larger components, to pass through the second filter from the plasma compartment to the fluid compartment. The device may include a sorbent in the plasma compartment to remove or reduce the concentration of selected components of the plasma.

  • Patent number: 4728609
Abstract: Th preparation of a double-stranded polydeoxy ribonucleotide having cohesive termini each comprising one strand of a double-strand restriction endonuclease recognition site and, between the termini, a structural gene coating for the expression of recombinant growth hormone releasing factor, at least a majority of the codons and the coding strand of said gene being codons preferred for the expression of microbial genomes; a method of producing such DNA a recombinant microbial cloning vehicle comprising such DNA and the novel methods of producing said peptide are described.
