  • Patent number: 4330134
Abstract: A seal unit having first and second members adapted to engage, respectively, first and second sealed parts, torsionally deflectable means joining the first and second members, with the first and second members respectively having cooperating means thereon for engaging each other after a predetermined amount of free movement between them has taken place with at least one of said end members being constructed and arranged to permit movement relative to the part with which they are associated in use, whereby, the end parts do not engage each other during limited oscillation, but upon engagement, cause the driven end part to rotate to one of the sealed parts.

  • Patent number: 4100965
Abstract: Shroud, associated with a type of automotive fan and a vehicle radiator core, supports in a position between the fan and core an interposed debris screen which is slidable in guides in the shroud so as to be readily removable transversely out of the hood of an automotive vehicle for cleaning of the screen. Air enters the fan shroud under pressure by being blown in through fan opening means defined by the shroud at one end, and leaves under pressure in a path through radiator attachment means carried by the shroud at the other, or discharge, end. Intermediate the ends of the shroud, the debris screen is interposed with its plane between the respective planes of the opening means and attachment means, so as to screen all air being forced under pressure in the path therethrough.

  • Patent number: 4018270
Abstract: Shroud, associated with a type of automotive fan and a vehicle radiator core, supports in a position between the fan and core an interposed debris screen which is slidable in guides in the shroud so as to be readily removable transversely out of the hood of an automotive vehicle for cleaning of the screen. Doing the job of cleaning a removed screen is more simplified as a task than, and eliminates the task of, cleaning debris from a radiator core in situ.

  • Patent number: 3990738
Abstract: An offset platform, mounted on isolation mountings on a tractor having cross beams carried on the chassis for pivotally and yieldably supporting the platform on its mountings. The mountings serve not only as described for the platform, but provide also an isolation mounting, conjointly, to any and all tractor superstructure included on the platform such as an operator's cab, seat assembly, and rollover protective frame structure.
