Patent number: 12230863Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices are described for mounting an antenna assembly to a vehicle, whereby rotational degrees of freedom between the antenna assembly and the vehicle are constrained. For example, an antenna mount may employ an intermediate structure between the antenna assembly and the vehicle. In various examples, the intermediate structure may be coupled with one of the vehicle or the antenna assembly by a linear coupling, and the intermediate structure may be coupled with the other of the vehicle or the antenna assembly by a planar coupling. The antenna assembly may be coupled with the vehicle by a compliant coupling that provides a centering force between the antenna assembly and the vehicle. According to various examples, rotational movement between the antenna assembly and the vehicle may be suppressed, and vibration from the vehicle to the antenna assembly may be attenuated.Type: GrantFiled: August 11, 2021Date of Patent: February 18, 2025Assignee: Viasat, Inc.Inventors: Kenneth J. Patent number: 11572853Abstract: The Multiple Intake Air Filtration Device of this invention is a superior, highly efficient air cleaner that utilizes an array of multiple-intake cyclonic tubes spinning air at high speed to efficiently remove the specific sizes of dirt and other particulates that can be ingested in off-road and highway vehicle operations. This Multiple Intake Air Filtration Device is well-suited for use with both normally-aspirated engines and turbocharged engines. It is superior to automotive air cleaners that filter out dirt by use of a screen or porous media because it never becomes clogged as dirt and particulates are filtered out, and it is superior to devices that utilize only a single air flow through cyclonic tubes, because the device of this invention cleans intake air more efficiently while providing a strong flow of clean air to the engine or other component.Type: GrantFiled: October 20, 2020Date of Patent: February 7, 2023Assignee: Kros-Wise, Inc.Inventor: Kenneth J. Larson

Patent number: 4865747Abstract: An electromagnetic field treating device includes a conduit formed of nonmagnetic material having an inlet and an outlet such that fluid can pass through the conduit in a direction which is parallel to the axis of the conduit, and a ferromagnetic core which includes a corkscrew shaped core portion which is positioned within the conduit in parallel spaced relation thereto. The electromagnetic fluid treating device also includes means for mounting the core in a fixed position within the conduit, and at least one electromagnetic coil which is electrically insulated from the conduit and is positioned adjacently outside of the conduit so that the central axis of each coil either intersects or nearly intersects the core. The electromagnetic fluid treating device preferably has one or two electromagnetic coils which are each mounted sidewardly from the conduit to face toward the ferromagnetic core such that the central axis of each coil is perpendicular to the conduit.Type: GrantFiled: January 27, 1988Date of Patent: September 12, 1989Assignee: Aqua-D Corp.Inventors: Kenneth J.
