  • Patent number: 11859958
Abstract: A powder compaction device is disclosed. The device has a drive motor operable connected to a compaction rod that moves through a loading platform to a cartridge holding platform. A powder loading station is positioned below the loading platform and above the cartridge holding platform. The compaction rod moves through the powder loading station, which loads a predetermined volume of propellant powder into one or more reliefs defined in the compaction rod. The cartridge holding platform has a removable cartridge fixture designed to receive an ammunition cartridge to be loaded and compacted with propellant powder. The propellant powder is released into the cartridge fixture from the reliefs as the compaction rod passes a funnel defined at an upper end of the fixture. After releasing the powder, the compaction rod continues into an interior chamber of the fixture to compact the powder contained therein.

  • Patent number: 9357141
Abstract: According to some embodiments, methods, systems, apparatus, and computer program products are provided which allow the remote production of live events by capturing, at a remote event site, event video data in a first time horizon. The event video data is compressed to a proxy of the event video data, and the proxy event video data is transmitted to a remote production facility. A switcher at the production facility is operated to generate commands to produce a proxy program using the proxy event video data. The commands are then transmitted to the remote event site to cause a shadow switcher to produce a cut program in third time horizon delayed from the second time horizon, where the cut program is produced using the event video data. The cut program is transmitted to the production facility. The resulting program is the broadcast program that can be broadcast and distributed.

  • Patent number: 7230653
Abstract: The present invention comprises a real time image insertion system for video utilizes a three-dimensional model of at least one target area within a site for identifying the target area within an original video image of the site, and for rendering a target image and inserting it into the target area of the video image. The target area may be a real, existing surface of the site or an imaginary surface defined only in the model. The model is rendered from the position and angle of a camera that generated the video image. By using a three dimensional model of the site to generate the target image, the resulting image with the inserted target material appears more realistic.

  • Patent number: 7206434
Abstract: A system and method for calculation of the duration a target area included within an image stream utilizes a three-dimensional model of at least one target area within a site. A counter is incremented during periods, for example on a frame-by-frame basis, when the target area is included in the image stream. An occlusion parameter is calculated for adjusting the calculated duration that the target area is included within the image stream. The occlusion parameter facilitates accounting for variations in a target area obstruction and is used for making adjustments to a counter so that a count indicative of a duration reflects variations in obstructions of the target area. A foreground parameter associated with target area is calculated for adjusting the calculated duration of the target area. The foreground parameter facilitates accounting for variations in the viewability of an image included within the target area resulting from various camera zooms.

  • Patent number: 4861960
Abstract: This real time adaptive control and method of controlling a spot welding process compensates for electrode wear, oxidized surfaces, fit up variations and machine variations. Workpiece thermal growth is the measurement discriminant and the welding machine heat command is the control input. The control utilizes a least squares estimator to monitor the process and workpiece displacement, a precompensator to shape a desired displacement trajectory command, and a model reference control with a Smith-predictor to compensate for time delays and a proportional-integral-derivative compensator. The model reference control has a mathematical model of the spot welding process and calculates an estimated displacement using a predicated process gain and bias calculated by the estimator. The estimated displacement is compared to the precompensator displacement trajectory and an error is generated which regulates the heat command through the PID compensator.
