    Abstract: A door member comprising a frame having a first side and a second side, opposite the first side, a core positioned within the frame, and a molded skin attached to the first side of the frame. The skin is prepared from a molding compound which, when molded, has a shrinkage of between about -0.0003 to about +0.0015. The molding compound comprises a resin system comprising a curable polyester resin, a co-curable unsaturated monomer, and at least two low profile additives. The molding compound also comprises at least about 30 percent by weight, based on the weight of the molding compound, of filler material, and fibrous reinforcement in an amount of less than about 35 weight percent, based on the weight of the molding compound.

    Abstract: Compression molded pigmented door skins fabricated by compression molding a pigmented, curable, unsaturated polyester sheet molding compound containing a co-curable unsaturated monomer, a low profile additive, and a microvoid-reducing thermoplastic polymer, exhibit uniform stainability while maintaining a low linear thermal coefficient of expansion. Such door skins are suitable for preparing wood grain textured exterior insulated doors which exhibit minimal thermal deflection when exposed to interior/exterior temperature differentials, even at eight foot door heights. The doors may be stained without first applying a seal coat.

The skins are made of a polymer material, a low profile additive and reinforcement fibers. Each of the skins has an exterior surface and an interior surface. The interior surface is adjacent the core. The exterior surface includes a textured pattern consisting of level portions and depressions. The depressions have a range in depth from about 0.025 mm to about 1.0 mm from the level portions. The skins further include undercuts adjacent the depressions. The undercuts have a range in extent of undercutting from about 0.025 mm to about 0.10 mm from the depressions.

    Abstract: A wet scrubber is provided for use in combination with a work station in which airborne particulates are generated. The wet scrubber includes a generally horizontal partition which defines a lower boundary of the work station and a discharge structure depending from the partition. A flow of liquid is supplied into the discharge structure, and a flow of air is supplied which will carry the particulate from the work station into and through the discharge structure. A scrubber chamber is also provided into which the discharge structure projects. This chamber includes a receptacle for containing a pool of liquid. The discharge structure itself is constructed to include an elongated inlet channel and a plurality of discrete discharge tubes extending down into the scrubber chamber. The inlet channel has a top, a bottom and a pair of converging sidwalls which depend from the partition at the top of the channel.

    Abstract: Apparatus for monitoring and/or controlling the operations of a computer at a user site from a support center over a telephone line, the computer at the user site including a central processing unit (CPU) and a display terminal. The apparatus includes a telephone instrument at each location connected to the telephone line, a display terminal connected to an acoustic coupler at the support center and a control and switching device at the user site connected to the CPU, to the display terminal at the user site and to an acoustic coupler. When a link is established between the acoustic coupler at the support center and the acoustic coupler at the user site over the telephone line, the display terminal at the support center is operable with the display terminal at the user site in either an on-line mode or a conversational mode. In the on-line mode, either display terminal can input to the CPU and the output from the CPU is displayed at both display terminals.
