  • Publication number: 20200017816
Abstract: A bio-reactive container and filter assembly to improve flow rates and mass transfer without increased pressure. An inlet filter membrane secured to the container defines a container chamber in combination with the container. An inlet filter membrane element may also be secured to the container to provide structural support to the membrane. An outlet membrane secured to the container defines a container chamber in combination with the container. An outlet filter membrane element may also be secured to the container to provide structural support to the outlet membrane. Inlet and/or outlet filters and/or filter elements are constructed to significantly increase surface area available for fluid and/or gas ingress and/or egress. Single and double layer membranes with mixtures of hydrophobic and hydrophilic characteristics are used to maximize perfusion and gasification/degasification of bio-reactive containers.

  • Patent number: 10536297
Abstract: A method for transmitting MAC frames between hosts/remote machines and virtual machines across network elements (e.g., switches, routers, and multilayer switches) that conventionally do not hold capacity to address VXLAN encapsulation to any and all possible destination VTEPs within expanding data centers. More specifically, the method permits a network element the functionality of retaining VXLAN encapsulation table entries corresponding to VTEPs on Top of Rack (ToR) switches versus to VTEPs on hosts that reside under those ToR switches. This use of indirect VXLAN bridging may reduce the number of required VTEPs stored on a network element for the purposes of performing VXLAN encapsulation, thereby once again establishing the capability for packets to reach any arbitrary destination VTEP as data centers scale.

  • Publication number: 20200001711
Abstract: A pedal emulator (20, 100) is provided. The pedal emulator includes an emulator piston (28, 102) coupled to a damper (46, D1) that is contained within a housing (22, 104). The damper is surrounded by first (34, S1) and second (38, S2) springs that are carried by a lower spring seat (114), the lower spring seat being upwardly biased by a third spring (S3), for example a wave spring. The first and second springs and the third spring cooperate to provide a counter-force that is tailored to the desired feel of the pedal. First and second sensors measure travel (72,74) and force in response to downward compression of the emulator piston, and the damper provides hysteresis upon return travel of the emulator piston.

  • Patent number: 10489231
Abstract: Embodiments of the disclosure provide messaging for assessment of telecommunication issues or other types of operational issues in networks that provide a service. In one embodiment, a client device (such as a computing device) that consumes information from a service provided via a network can determine a service performance issue. In response, in certain embodiments, the client device can probe multiple network components in the network by sending multiple messages to each of the multiple network components. The client device can determine a response to the messages from at least one of the multiple network components, and can leverage the response in order to determine an operating condition of and/or assign an operating condition status to at least one of the network components. As such, in certain embodiments, the client device can identify connectivity issues, communication infrastructure issues, and/or networking issues at the network.
