Abstract: In accordance with some preferred embodiments, without limitation, the invention comprises methods and compositions for the prophylactic and/or antiepileptic administration of angiogenesis inhibitors in conjunction with seizures or traumatic insults to the brain, which administration may limit the extent of trauma-associated angiogenesis and/or decrease the likelihood that angiogenesis will give rise to regional epileptogenecity by preventing/reducing the associated increases in blood-brain barrier permeability among new or existing blood vessels along with their epileptogenic effects.
